Alex Shelley praises ROH

When Alex Shelley worked a live event for ROH last weekend, he was not expecting to shatter his front teeth. Another thing that he wasn't expecting was for the company to pay for the repair. Shelley noted that he was not an official member of the roster, but the company stepped up and took care of him anyways. He also revealed that his friends and family have been urging him to retire from professional wrestling.

Jay Lethal

ROH to Japan

Thanks in large part to their partnership with New Japan, ROH is going to be heading to Japan in the early part of 2016. The two sides have been in negotiations for the past couple of months. The deal would mean that performers like Jay Lethal are going to be starring in a couple of shows in that country. This is a big step forward for a promotion that needs more exposure.

Dish drops ROH

Despite having a very talented roster of performers, ROH keeps getting dropped. First, Destination America decides that their numbers are not good enough to have two time slots on their networks. Kota Ibushi

Kota Ibushi dual contract

It is unfortunate for wrestling fans in the Untied States that promoters here are unable to figure out how to get dual contracts so that performers can work in multiple places. In Japan, Kota Ibushi was the first person to do just that, as he was under contract with New Japan and a promotion called DDT. Companies like ROH, GFW and TNA would receive quite a boost from the talent exchange.

Joe Koff

ROH getting dropped

Since they lost their time slot with Destination America, the internet wrestling community is concerned that ROH could be dropped completely by the network when the contract expires. That may not necessarily be the case, however. In order to get their show aired, Joe Koff signed a deal that was very favorable to DA. Since it does not cost them a lot, they might keep Ring of Honor on the air.

However, Vince McMahon is not very keen on the idea of helping out his competition.
