Jimmy Jacobs farewell match

As some of you might already know, ROH is doing a show in Redwood City during Wrestlemania weekend. Jimmy Jacobs is working a match that day against BJ Whitmer. It is being said that this will be his farewell match. He is leaving Ring of Honor and heading over to a creative position with WWE. There is a very good chance that Jacobs will more than likely take the short commute to attend the pay per view in person.

WWE signing Samoa Joe

In a move that many thought would be impossible, it now appears that WWE will be signing Samoa Joe to a contract very soon. Reports have surfaced that the two sides have come to an agreement on terms. The belief is that the deal will not take place before April, as Joe has already committed to working matches for ROH in the month of March. Despite being a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Joe will be going through developmental still.

Luke Gallows absent

For those of you that watched the ROH anniversary show, you already know that Luke Gallows was not there. It was a noticeable absence since Karl Anderson had to work the triple threat tag team match by himself. Officials opted to not utilize a replacement since it enabled them to have Anderson doing the job without looking weak. Gallows was forced to miss the event because he was snowed in at the airport in Detroit on Sunday night.

Samoa Joe to ROH

While we still do not know what the long term future holds for Samoa Joe, we do know what he is going to be doing in the month of March. He is heading back home to ROH to work a couple of matches. No word yet on who his opponents will be, but management should have no problems finding him suitable performers to work with. As of right now, the deal is said to be a short term one, as Joe is still said to be pondering his long term status.

Del Rio challenges Jay Lethal

On March 1, ROH is throwing a big event to celebrate their 13 year anniversary at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas. A big match has just been announced. Alberto Del Rio will be challenging Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor television championship. It is being said that Lethal is one of the guys that Del Rio had on his list of performers that he hoped to work against while he was signed to the company. Lethal should retain the belt.

Del Rio opponents in ROH

When ROH reached out to Alberto Del Rio about working some shows for them in 2015, the former world heavyweight champion was allowed input as to which performers that he wanted to work with. Surprisingly, he specifically asked to work with ACH, as Del Rio is impressed with the San Antonio native. He also asked to work matches with Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly. Reports have surfaced that Jay Lethal was another name on the list of opponents.

Alberto Del Rio vs ACH

Another opponent for Alberto Del Rio has been named by ROH. The promotion chose ACH, a seven year veteran of the industry, who has been with Ring of Honor since 2012. He has never held a championship in the promotion, but he was listed as the 113th best performer by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2013. Del Rio will be working the match against him at the Dearborn, Michigan live event on January 30, 2015.

Sami Zayn wins NXT title

In a highly anticipated moment, Sami Zayn was finally able to capture the NXT Heavyweight Championship by beating Adrian Neville during an excellent match at Revolution tonight. Fans online have been begging WWE to put the championship on the former ROH star, and the audience was very vocal about it as well. The agents attempted to throw off the fans a bit by utilizing the injured referee spot, but in the end, Zayn won via pin fall.
