Roddy Piper
Now that Hulk Hogan has been signed to a contract and an official return announcement has been made, WWE is expected to turn their attention towards Roddy Piper and begin negotiations with him on an appearance at Wrestlemania 30. The legendary performer has been pushing for a match at the pay per view, but management is unlikely to go that route.

Bully Ray
Rumors are spreading rapidly right now that Bully Ray has signed a new contract with TNA. The speculation stems from the fact that the company is now openly advertising him for Bound For Glory 2014. His contract expired not too long ago, and at the time, the belief was that the two sides were not able to come to an agreement on a new deal because TNA was still waiting for a television contract. There is also a chance that Bully Ray could just be doing a one time thing for the company.

Kenta Kobayashi
When he finally signed a developmental contract with WWE, many fans were under the impression that Kenta Kobayashi might be one of the rare exceptions who get to keep using their names. However, management opted against that and changed his name to Hideo Itami. The reason fro WWE doing this is because they want to be able to own the rights to the name in case he becomes a big star and leaves someday.

Kurt Angle
"Well right now I'm not at liberty to say where I'm going but I will tell you I'm going to do the right thing for me and my family. I am in the process of structuring a deal and I do have a company in mind. I haven't said yes because I want to make it a public thing with the company and myself. I can't really say who it is or where I'm going but I can tell you it's going to happen in the next two weeks before my contract is even up. I won't be wrestling until January but there will be a signing in the next couple of weeks." - Kurt Angle hinting on whether he will stay with TNA or return to WWE

Dixie Carter
While there has not been a lot of news recently about the television contract situation in TNA, there is still a ton of things going on backstage. Reports have surfaced that Dixie Carter has been meeting with potential silent investors. For those that are not aware, silent investors are those that do not have much of a say in how the company operates. There are talks that the investment amount starts at $10 million.

Batista
In yet another sign that Batista might never return to WWE, the big guy is restructuring his contract with Marvel Studios. The company wants to pay him more money after the success of Guardians of the Galaxy. In addition to being signed for the sequel, Batista is also expected to be part of the cast of the third Avengers movie. With a whole lot more money in his pockets, the former world heavyweight champion may decide to retire from professional wrestling altogether.
September 9, 2014
John Morrison
It looks like AAA was able to put together a good enough contract on the table to lure in John Morrison after all. The former WWE star worked a match on the first taping for Lucha Underground. He worked against an international star named Ricochet, who used the name Prince Puma on the show. No word yet on how long of a deal that Morrison signed with AAA, but the belief is that he will be around for a couple of shows at least.

While WWE will continue to put the full court press on, it appears very unlikely that Michael Sam will be making an appearance on Monday Night Raw for Vince McMahon. The defensive end from Missouri University is currently in the process of signing a contract with the Dallas Cowboys after being released by the St Louis Rams. Once the deal goes through, he will more than likely be prohibited from being involved with WWE.
September 2, 2014
Frankie Kazarian
AAA wanted Frankie Kazarian on board when they venture into the United States because he is one of the most talented and most well known free agents in wrestling, but the former TNA star has decided to reject their contract offer. The belief is that the deal is too restrictive when it comes to the performers being able to work other independent wrestling shows. The pay is also said to be less than what a lot of wrestlers are hoping for.

Bully Ray
Reports surfaced not too long ago that Bully Ray was leaving TNA, as his contract was set to expire and a new deal could not be reached between the two sides. Apparently, he is going to remain on good terms with management, as the former world heavyweight champion is still being advertised for Bound For Glory 2014. August 25, 2014
Rey Mysterio
While it appears that he is still under contract to WWE, it does not seem like the company is going to be bringing Rey Mysterio back to television, even after his hand injury heals. The two sides are greatly at odds right now, and it seems like management is more concerned about preventing him from going to another company at this point. A reconciliation seems unlikely right now.
