Initially, Rockstar Spud, Brooke Tessmacher and several other TNA performers were scheduled to do a quick three show tour at the end of the month. However, management has now decided to cancel the Hardcore Halloween events. It is being said that changes in logistics are the reason for the cancellation, as the front office was rather pleased with how ticket sales were going. The performers are still getting a paycheck for that weekend.

When you look at someone like Rockstar Spud, you don't normally expect him to be receiving a shot at the world heavyweight championship. Well, that is the opportunity that TNA is about to give him when they do a tour of his home country of England. Spud will be challenging Ethan Carter for the belt during that tour. A title change is not expected, but it should not be completely ruled out.

Nice to see some old school traditions being upheld by the current group of performers. When Austin Aries decided to leave TNA, he did the right thing by willingly putting over Rockstar Spud on his way out. That was done a lot during the territorial days. Aries also said it was an honor to lose to Spud, which drew a lot of respect from the industry to the former world heavyweight champion.

2015 has been a pretty good year for Rockstar Spud. In addition to being a regularly featured performer on Impact Wrestling, the TNA star has also been receiving a good amount of praise from veterans and some of the top names that professional wrestling has ever seen. Many are saying that Spud is a guy that simply gets the business. Some are even hoping that he gets a chance to compete for the world heavyweight title.

It appears that TNA had a well written plan all along for Rockstar Spud. They purposely made him an annoying character when he first made his debut in the company. The goal was to make fans have strong feelings towards him, even if some of it was negative. In professional wrestling, no heat is the worst heat. The creative department was then deftly able to slowly convert his character into a lovable underdog that could be a serious threat in the ring.

Over the last several weeks, John Gaburick and Dixie Carter have been going down their list and signing performers to new contracts. The latest person to close a deal is Rockstar Spud. He is now signed with TNA for at least another year. Spud is rather happy with the role that he has been given in the company. He was initially brought on board as comedy relief, but management kept their promise about turning him into an actual wrestler.
