Smackdown big matches

For the longest time now, fans have been trained to view Smackdown as a secondary show. That is going to be temporarily changing soon. The belief is that Vince McMahon is going to load up the show with big matches for the first few months after they move to the USA Network. There is a very good chance that John Cena is going to have to work on that show more frequently than normal. Undertaker and Brock Lesnar might even make appearances.

Jack Swagger without victory

In case you have been living underneath a rock, Jack Swagger has been severely dropped down the ladder in WWE. Michael Cole injured

To further sell the kayfabe injury suffered by Michael Cole at the hands of Brock Lesnar during Monday Night Raw, WWE has decided to keep the announcer off of the commentating table for the next episode of Smackdown. The on air explanation is that he needs surgery. Tom Phillips is replacing him and will join Jerry Lawler and Byron Saxton at the booth. No confirmation yet, but the belief is that Cole will be back for Monday Night Raw.

Nikki Bella shoots

Last night, Nikki Bella cut a promo towards AJ Lee that was scheduled to be included in the next episode of Smackdown. That does not sound like something that WWE writers would script because the company does not want to make their heavyweight champion look bad.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar pulled

Since he is one of the highest paid performers in the company, WWE is still very selective about when they utilize Brock Lesnar on television. Initially, there were plans to have him showing up on Smackdown this week to provide that show with a bit of a boost. However, the snow storm changed up a lot of plans in the company. Management reportedly has now opted to remove Lesnar from the show and save his appearance for a later time.
