Even though he had already established himself as one of the top performers overseas, Kenta Kobayashi is actually being sent to the developmental program by WWE. Management wants him to change up his style a bit and adopt the slower pace style that the company prefers. No word yet on how long Kobayashi will be required to stay down at the WWE Performance Center.

Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Michelle McCool had visited the WWE Performance Center to help train some of the developmental divas. That led to speculations that Undertaker was there as well. Contrary to the rumors, he was not there. The legendary performer has largely stayed away from the business since his match against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30.

No word yet on why she was there this time around, but she has been known to drop in and help do a little training with the developmental divas. Her appearances always spark rumors of a return to WWE, so don't be surprised if the chatter increases over the next few days.

To the average WWE fan, Adam Pearce is not a household name, but to those in the industry, however, he's definitely a familiar face. The longtime independent wrestling star was spotted backstage at Payback 2014. The belief is that he was a guest of the company, as he has been helping to train some of the developmental wrestlers at the WWE Performance Center.

A couple of weeks ago, Alex Wright was brought to the United States by WWE to work as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center. While the company was doing a tour of Europe, William Regal was sent to the wrestling school that Wright owns to check things out. Rumors have it that WWE wants to maintain an ongoing working relationship with Wright, in an attempt to find new talent from Europe.

After a dozen years of staying away from the United States, Alex Wright made a special trip to America as a guest of WWE. Management flew him in from Germany and had him acting as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center. After retiring as an in ring performer himself, Wright opened up a successful wrestling school and started a promotion.

The Samoan presence in WWE has just gotten a little bit stronger, as Savelina Fanene is now under a developmental contract with the company. She is related to the Rock and does have an athletic background. Savelina recently noted on Instagram that she had moved to Orlando, where she will be training for the next year at the WWE Performance Center.

Yesterday, news broke out that Tough Enough was being brought back and being aired on the WWE Network. Now, some details are swirling around. Rumors have it that the company will be filming the series at the WWE Performance Center. Some of the lesser known developmental wrestlers like CJ Parker, Sylvester Lefort and Travis Tyler are also rumored to be a part of the show as well.

Even though he is no longer touring with the company or being utilized on television, Yoshi Tatsu continues to work really hard, perfecting his craft at the WWE Performance Center every week. Management loves his attitude and determination, so they rewarded him with a spot at Wrestlemania 30 last night. Tatsu was a surprise entrant in the battle royal.

Long known as one of the best female performers in Canada and Japan, Sarita has never really been on the radar for WWE. That has changed as of late, as the former TNA knockout spent a week at the WWE Performance Center, doing various tryouts for the company. A veteran performer like Sarita could really help out the divas division.

After spending some time down at the WWE Performance Center, Brodus Clay is now back on the road. He worked a live event over the weekend in Atlantic City, where he did a quick dance off segment with the Great Khali, another performer who has been off the road for a couple of weeks. No word on a television return for Clay yet.

In a subtle move, WWE has begun phasing out the logo that they have been using for the last several years. They are replacing it with the logo for the WWE Network, which Vince McMahon reportedly likes more. The company recently pulled the switch at the WWE Performance Center and are expected to do so with Monday Night Raw and Smackdown soon.

In a rather interesting move, Michelle McCool was spotted training at the WWE Performance Center this week. She was helping some of the developmental performers out. Some are speculating that she is interested in becoming a trainer for the company, while others think that she might just be helping out because her husband, Undertaker, is working Wrestlemania 30.

While he continues to train hard at the WWE Performance Center, there has been some doubt as to how far Ricardo Rodriguez will be able to go as a wrestler. He already has the personality to make it work, but there are some fears that some fans will not be able to see past him as just being a manager and a sidekick for Alberto Del Rio.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Kevin Steen, the longtime ROH star, would be doing a tryout for WWE, and it has now been confirmed that he will be doing so at the WWE Performance Center from March 24 to March 26. Several other independent wrestling stars are scheduled to be doing tryouts that week as well.

When he returned to Japan and downplayed the tryout, many were under the impression that the company was not interested in bringing the international star on board.

In a show of resilient he is, Yoshi Tatsu refuses to give up on his dreams of being on the main roster with WWE again. He has been spending extra time with Nick Dinsmore, one of the lead trainers for the company, at the WWE Performance Center, working on his stamina and gaining some pointers on how to present his character on television.

Reports going around state that Rob Van Dam finished up his latest stint with WWE during the kickoff match at Summerslam 2014. His departure from the company had been expected since he only agreed to a short term contract. Some are under the belief that this might be the last stint for RVD since the audience has been a bit lackluster towards him this time around.

The speculation right now is that Rob Van Dam will be taking another break from WWE after Summerslam 2014. The former world heavyweight champion is not currently booked for the pay per view, but there are talks that management could squeeze him into a match at the last minute. RVD did not exactly get involved in a lot of stories during his latest tenure, so there are talks that this could be his last run with WWE.

On Monday Night Raw, fans saw Rob Van Dam being pulled from a Beat the Clock match against Seth Rollins. He was replaced by Heath Slater, who got the surprising win, thanks to distractions from Dean Ambrose. It turns out that WWE did that because RVD is actually not cleared to wrestle. He is still recovering from an unknown injury. For what it's worth, it appears that he might be fine soon, as the former world heavyweight champion is scheduled to head to Australia for the tour.

It has now been revealed that the former world heavyweight champion was forced to miss the pay per view because of an undisclosed injury. An update has been promised by WWE in regards to the nature of the ailment. No word yet on whether or not RVD will be missing time from the road.

Big E, Curtis Axel, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam and Ryback are now in the match at WWE Battleground 2014. They join Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, Great Khali and Antonio Cesaro. As of right now, the company is favoring the idea of giving the title to Cesaro.

In a very exciting match, Seth Rollins outlasted Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger to capture the briefcase at Money in the Bank 2014. WWE wants to continue the war between Ambrose and the Authority, so they had Kane coming out and providing assistance to Rollins. Despite the heel tactic to win the match, the Rollins victory was actually cheered by a good amount of fans.

Thanks to the help of Kane, Seth Rollins was able to climb the ladder uninterrupted and win the briefcase at Money in the Bank 2014. The Big Red Monster came to the ring and attacked Dean Ambrose to clear the path. Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger and Rob Van Dam were all laid out on the floor during the finale. WWE power couple Triple H and Stephanie McMahon came out afterwards to congratulate Rollins.

One of the ideas being tossed around backstage in WWE is to utilize Rob Van Dam as an opponent for Alexander Rusev, who has been tearing through the lower card division. RVD still has some name value and a bit of a connection with the audience, so he can provide the newcomer with some much needed credibility before heading into a feud with John Cena down the line.

At Payback 2014, Wade Barrett successfully defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Rob Van Dam after picking up the pin fall victory, thanks to the Bull Hammer. The performers placed some doubt in that finish when it appeared that Barrett had injured his arm while smashing into the corner post after RVD ducked away from the move outside the ring.

Since the company is hoping to build him back up to the main event level, Wade Barrett is expected to successfully retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship in his match against Rob Van Dam at Payback 2014. The former leader of Nexus will more than likely be fed another challenger next month as well. If things go as planned, he could be a future rival for Daniel Bryan.

While the performers avoided major injuries at Extreme Rules 2014, Rob Van Dam did get beat up a bit, thanks largely to his closing segment with Antonio Cesaro. The former world heavyweight champion suffered cuts and bruises to his face after crashing down on to a trash can while doing his signature Five Star Frog Splash finishing move.

The triple threat match at Extreme Rules 2014 quickly became a singles match after Jack Swagger was eliminated after a combination of a superplex and flying splash. Antonio Cesaro then won the match by pinning Rob Van Dam after delivering his Neutralizer finishing move on top of a trash can. Zeb Colter and Paul Heyman had minimal involvement.

A match being discussed backstage for Extreme Rules 2014 right now involves Jack Swagger, Rob Van Dam and Antonio Cesaro doing a triple threat. WWE wants to put the story line between Swagger and Cesaro on a pay per view, but they are concerned about having two heels in a match, so the idea of RVD being involved has been tossed around.

Prior to Wrestlemania 30, there were plans in place to push Alberto Del Rio towards Big E Langston and the WWE Intercontinental Championship, so when the tournament was announced, many viewed Del Rio as a top candidate to win. However, management has changed their minds on that push, as evident by the fact that Del Rio lost to Rob Van Dam on Monday Night Raw this week.

While he is not quite a full time performer for the company, Rob Van Dam has opted to head to Europe with WWE for a tour in May. There will be an episode of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown taped in London during this stretch, so most of the performers in WWE will be on hand for the tour. Rumors have it that RVD will be sticking around for a couple of months like last time.
