Throughout the past several months, Chavo Guerrero has been taking in quite a few business meetings, in order to set up his career outside of professional wrestling. Brutus Magnus
"I'm as grateful to Sting as anybody in the wrestling business for the benefit he has had in my career. Steve is a great guy and very very smart and just a model citizen as far as the way he conducts himself and how much respect he commands. There are some people who seem to be obsessed with respect and seem to be obsessed with guys not showing them enough respect but Sting is a guy who has never had to pull any stunts, never had to bully anyone, never had to throw his weight around or pull rank; he commands respect. The same could be said about Kurt Angle." - Brutus Magnus discusses how Sting is backstage

Christopher Daniels
"A unique athlete, it's funny because he was a book that was judged by his cover, for a very long time and it took a while to get him into TNA and we were always fighting to get him in. Everybody was like 'we gotta change his look and blah blah blah,' but finally when they gave him the chance, he showed them that you didn't need to judge him by the cover because he brings a unique intensity and a unique character to TNA and I think it would be a different TNA without him. He has changed the business." - Christopher Daniels discusses Samoa Joe

Paul London
"I've always admired and looked up to Terry Funk. Never did I actually think I'd be walking just like him. Knees hurt." - Paul London explaining how much of a toll the wrestling business gives to the body
April 14, 2014
Ashley Flair
Since she is now the WWE Divas Champion, Paige will be dropping the WWE NXT Women's Championship soon. The top candidates at the moment are Ashley Flair and Sasha Banks. While some are pushing for management to put Bayley in the spot, the company feels that it would be better for business if she were to chase the title for a couple of months first.
April 13, 2014
Vince McMahon
Since all the important monthly shows have been moved to the WWE Network, Vince McMahon and company have decided that they will no longer use the term "pay per view". Cody Rhodes
"Why are folks surprised by Nancy Grace? She got dumped by a professional wrestler in the 1980s and started a life quest to be just awful. If she was remotely confident in her accusations, she would interview an active talent. Yet, she won't do that because she'd have a Mark Cuban and Skip Bayless situation, and she would come off as the ignorant sweat hog she actually is." - Cody Rhodes bashes Nancy Grace for attacking the wrestling business
April 10, 2014
Diamond Dallas Page
"I went on Nancy Grace last night expecting to discuss Warrior the man. Had I known the only topic discussed would be steroids I would not have participated. At the time I was also unaware of the list that was shown to the viewing audience. To imply that all of the wrestlers on that list died from steroids was wrong and for that they owe the families an apology. Again, my only intention was to discuss Warrior the man and share some stories about how dedicated he was to the wrestling business. I am saddened that was not what happened and my thoughts remain with his family." - Diamond Dallas Page discusses Nancy Grace interview
April 10, 2014

April 7, 2014
Dean Ambrose
"You know what, I tell him this and we joke about it, but the smartest thing WWE did was put him with me and Dean Ambrose. Because when we met him, he started from scratch. Granted he's got a whole family history in the wrestling business, but he's a football player. He's an athlete and he's coachable, but like he gets it. Like he got it quick and he understood right away what we were doing. I think putting him with myself and Ambrose, who had the wealth of experience and the all the knowledge and traveling the road. We're in a car all the time, we're on the planes together, we're having the matches together. He was just able to soak up that information we were giving out like a sponge and you can see the difference. He was great when we came in, but look at him now and he's a completely different performer. It was the smartest thing they ever did, putting him with us." - Seth Rollins discussing the backstage reason why Roman Reigns was placed with the Shield

Jim Ross
"Vince doesn't go to ball games, golf, or any of that rich-guy stuff. He just works, and nobody works harder than him. He's always had that unrelenting work ethic, and I think a lot of it stems from his father. His father was such an iconic figure in the wrestling business. Vince idolized his father from afar, and he wanted to do anything he could to draw favor from his dad. When his dad reluctantly allowed Vince to get into the wrestling business, that overwhelming work ethic kicked in." - Jim Ross praising Vince McMahon
April 4, 2014
CM Punk
"I don't know why he quit and what the situation was about, but I was really looking forward to meeting the man and getting to know him. As far as me, I have a personal opinion on it and I would love for him to come back. If he needs time off whether it was business or personal, it's none of my business. Whatever it was, he was such a great superstar and I would love for him to come back." - Hulk Hogan wants a CM Punk return in WWE
April 3, 2014

That has pleased E! enough to where they posted a press release, touting it as their second best show behind Keeping Up with the Kardashians. JBL
"There is a lot of truth to that, absolutely. There were guys that came there from other organizations that perhaps they thought they should just skip everybody else and skip right to the top and have things right away the way they wanted. I mean, hey, there are rules and things that you have to abide by as far as this business goes. and you have to respect those. But, when you don't respect those, then hey, we have got a problem. So, yes, we had a lot of guys who came in with that attitude, and John and I would have to be called upon to let them know 'hey, that is not how it works here'." - Ron Simmons on how he and JBL handled backstage politics in WWE
April 1, 2014
JTG
Since he has been infrequently utilized by the company over the last year, there have long been speculations that JTG will be released by WWE once his contract is up. Rob Van Dam
Prior to Wrestlemania 30, there were plans in place to push Alberto Del Rio towards Big E Langston and the WWE Intercontinental Championship, so when the tournament was announced, many viewed Del Rio as a top candidate to win. April 15, 2014
Rob Van Dam
There are people backstage in WWE that are questioning the Rob Van Dam return, as it almost feels like an afterthought. Aside from taking place on the same episode of Monday Night Raw where so many new stars were introduced, he also worked a match against Damien Sandow, a performer that has rarely been in a featured role in WWE.
April 11, 2014
Damien Sandow
Despite the guy still having a large fan base, the return of Rob Van Dam was removed from the Hulu broadcast of Monday Night Raw this week. The former world heavyweight champion defeated Damien Sandow in a quick match, but WWE did not view it as a segment important enough to be shown to their fans on Hulu. A lot of eyes will be on RVD now to see how much of a push that he receives from management.
April 8, 2014
Damien Sandow

April 4, 2014
Sami Zayn

Rob Van Dam
In the eyes of the fans, WWE is definitely a step up from TNA. However, that is not the case when it comes to the performers themselves. During a podcast interview with Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam revealed that several of the guys backstage in TNA did not view WWE as a wise career move for themselves, as a lot of performers have failed to make progress after signing with Vince McMahon.
March 18, 2014
Chris Jericho
At one point in time, Vince McMahon considered Antonio Cesaro to be a boring performer and character. Chris Jericho confirmed that during his podcast interview with Rob Van Dam. There are some merits to the rumors, as people backstage have been heavily praising Cesaro for quite some time now, but his big push in WWE has yet to really take place.

March 2, 2014
Rob Van Dam
It is looking less likely that Rob Van Dam will be returning in time for the biggest wrestling event of the year, as management has been pretty busy trying to put together the card. Rob Van Dam
While they are interested in bringing him back into the company at some point, one of the problems that WWE is facing right now with Rob Van Dam is being able to find a spot at Wrestlemania 30 for him. Things have already been hectic as is backstage, so trying to find a good place and a story line for him is not really a priority at this point.
