The last time that the United States Heavyweight Championship was defended was back in October, when Dean Ambrose successfully defended the title against Big E Langston at Hell in a Cell 2013 and on Monday Night Raw the following night.
Rob Terry has benefited from the working relationship between TNA and Wrestle-1. He recently finished up a tour o Japan, where he worked a couple of matches for the new promotion. He also helped the Great Muta and Kaz Hayashi judge new talents trying out for the company.
With a million dollar body, many within the wrestling industry believe that Rob Terry can eventually become a star, but he needs more experience first. Terry is wisely taking that advice by working plenty of matches for OVW, the indies and even Japan.
Rob Terry will also be wrestling at the Wrestle-1 show, where AJ Styles will defend the TNA title, in Japan in a few days.
