A rather interesting story line is taking place down in Mexico. During Triplemania, Myzteziz did a heel turn on Rey Mysterio and joined a stable featuring Konnan. The group proceeded to beat down the former world heavyweight champion. He then challenged Mysterio to a mask versus mask match. That should prove to be a huge draw for AAA.

As a sign of how miserable Rey Mysterio was when WWE was holding him hostage contractually, the masked performer has been repeatedly telling the media that he absolutely loves being able to dictate his own schedule and control his own career. Since it isn't a casual mention, the belief is that the former world heavyweight champion is trying to send a message.

During a recent interview, Rey Mysterio was asked how he felt about constantly being booked to lose matches when he was the world heavyweight champion in WWE. He stated that it definitely bothered him, but he did not let it prevent him from going out there and putting on a performance for his fans. A feud would then be set up, so that he can work a Wrestlemania match.
