Konnan reviving Aguayo

By now, most people have seen the video of Perro Aguayo dying in the ring during a match involving Rey Mysterio. A select few have started blaming Konnan for repeatedly shaking Aguayo as he laid motionless on the mat. Others, however, have been defending him by stating that the former WCW star was under the impression that Aguayo was simply knocked out. To his credit, he rushed immediately to check on the fallen star.

It is strange for that to happen because most people know that it was an accident. Rey Mysterio opponent dies

When it was announced that Rey Mysterio was returning to wrestle in Mexico, everyone knew that it was going to be an eventful moment. Just not this type of eventfulness. El Hijo del Perro Aguayo, whose real name is Pedro Aguayo Ramirez, reportedly took a dropkick to the trachea and slumped to the ropes. Konnan unsuccessfully tried to revive him backstage. Local news reports in indicate he died shortly after midnight.

Many feel that the arrival of Alberto Del Rio and the potential signing of Rey Mysterio has played a huge part in convincing executives at the network to give them more time. Their numbers were not initially all that impressive, but there is some hope since they now have big name stars to build around.

Rey Mysterio schedule

There are those within WWE that feel that management made a big mistake by being too greedy with Rey Mysterio. Some feel that he should have been utilized as a special attraction in the same manner in which the company is doing with Sting, Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. He is using his massive drawing power in Mexico to command a very easy schedule, where he will only wrestle a handful of times per year.
