With rumors of his retirement hovering over the industry, Rey Mysterio decided to address the audience while making an appearance at Walemania. He confirmed that he will continue as an in ring performer. Mysterio also stated that Perro Aguayo would not have wanted him to retire because of the tragic accident. No word yet on when he will be stepping back into the ring, but Mysterio does have plenty of dates booked.

The popular masked superstar has been thrown a bunch of offers from independent wrestling promoters, enough money for him to make a living off of. He, of course, is unable to accept any of those deals as long as he is contractually obligated to is current company. A release is being negotiated.
