Rey Mysterio opponent dies

When it was announced that Rey Mysterio was returning to wrestle in Mexico, everyone knew that it was going to be an eventful moment. Just not this type of eventfulness. El Hijo del Perro Aguayo, whose real name is Pedro Aguayo Ramirez, reportedly took a dropkick to the trachea and slumped to the ropes. Konnan unsuccessfully tried to revive him backstage. Local news reports in indicate he died shortly after midnight.

Morale backstage in AAA is said to be extremely high at the moment. While there are some that are jealous and concerned about their position within the company, it is being said that most performers are pleased to see the return of Sin Cara, Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio. All three were extremely valuable marketing assets for the promotion. Their popularity in Mexico grew even higher after successful stints in the United States with WWE.

The belief is that Mysterio might end up discussing his departure from the company and the ugly contract situation.

By now, just about everyone knows that Rey Mysterio is no longer with WWE, even though the company is attempting to keep that bit of information from leaking out to the investors. However, the masked superstar will still be heading to northern California for Wrestlemania week.
