Jonathan Coachman return to WWE

While he is quite happy with his current job, WWE has not ruled out a potential return by Jonathan Coachman. The company really liked what he brought to the table and view him as a valuable asset. The fact that he has been working for ESPN for a couple of years now means that his name value has increased tremendously. It would provide professional wrestling with some more credibility to have someone from the mainstream media.

Shane McMahon not around

While a lot of wrestling fans still clamor for his return to WWE, Shane McMahon has expressed no desire to do so. In fact, he has been avoiding the family business for quite some time now. While everyone involved has been denying the backstage heat rumors, it speaks volume that McMahon doesn't even bother to attend Wrestlemania any more. That is the biggest event of the year, and one would expect him to at least be in attendance.

Best of Sting DVD

Since the company now has him under contract, the smart move would be to utilize Sting as much as possible to get a return on the investment that WWE spent on him. That is a big reason why a DVD is being discussed at the moment. The WCW legend is expected to be heavily involved with the project, and he is reportedly interested in having a lot of say in how it is presented. Management already has a good amount of footage since they own the library.

Daniel Bryan pulled

Some more bad news regarding Daniel Bryan. WWE has pulled his name from all upcoming live events and television taping. That is not a good sign because it means that the former world heavyweight champion will not be making a return anytime soon. Initially, there were rumors that he was going to be on the shelf for approximately a month. Now, it appears that he is going to need much more time to recover than that.

Paul Heyman return delayed

Initially, Paul Heyman was supposed to make his return before Brock Lesnar by working segments with Michael Cole about the story line lawsuit that is taking place. Lots of ideas were being discussed backstage on how to make that happen. However, it appears that WWE could not decide on a good one, as it is now being reported that Heyman is not scheduled to make his return to television until July. That is when Lesnar is scheduled to be back.

Josh Mathews paying off

While it is still pretty early on, it appears that the return on investment for Josh Mathews has been a rather good one for TNA. He is doing a tremendous job of being a one man commentating team after the departure of Taz. The company might have been in a bind had it just been Mike Tenay out there by himself. While he is one of the most knowledgeable guys to ever do the job, Tenay is a guy that works much better when there is a color commentator.

More details about the card will be revealed next week.

Dwayne Johnson wrestling again

Chris Jericho has already done it. Batista is thinking about doing it. Now, all eyes are on Dwayne Johnson to see if he would be interested in returning to WWE to work a schedule where you only do live events. The answer to that is rather disappointing if you're a big fan. Johnson simply does not have the time to do it because of all the business projects that he has going on at once. There is very little time in between shooting movies as well.

Naomi replacing Paige

As some of you may already know, Paige is taking some time off from WWE to film a movie. Since they are still figuring out the filming schedule, the front office decided to write her out off of television. They left open the possibility of her making a return at Extreme Rules to challenge Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship. Reports have now surfaced that Naomi might be required as a replacement because of the filming schedule being changed.
