Since he has not been given a push until recently, many were under the assumption that Kofi Kingston was not happy in WWE. Some believed that he would be better off walking away. However, Kingston never even entertained the thought of retirement. In fact, he still enjoys working for the company despite not being featured as much as someone as talented as him should be. Kingston plans to remain with WWE for a while.

As soon as word spread that Mickie James was making a big announcement on Impact Wrestling later on this week, rumors started to spread that the popular Knockout was going to be announcing her retirement. That is definitely a possibility as she is now a mother. However, TNA could be pulling a swerve by having her announce something entirely different. It could end up being something as simple as Mickie signing a new contract.

Before AJ Lee stunned the professional wrestling world by announcing her early retirement from WWE, there were plans in place for her to turn do a heel turn and challenge Paige, who is still being scheduled to capture the Divas Championship from Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules. The creative department had to quickly find alternative plans. Since they already wrote the story, they simply decided to replace AJ with Naomi.

After the shock of her retirement announcement wore down a bit, the internet wrestling community then began to speculate about the reason why AJ Lee was leaving her dream job in WWE so soon. One of the more discussed reasons was that the diminutive diva is pregnant. That appears to be unlikely, as the front office would never allow her to work at Wrestlemania and the following Monday Night Raw in that condition.

When Brock Lesnar opted to stay with WWE for another three years, UFC lost out on someone that could draw big numbers for them again. That was the reason why Dana White was offering a huge sum of money to his former world heavyweight champion. Since the void is still there, that has caused other great draws into considering a comeback. Georges St Pierre is now thinking about coming out of retirement to return to MMA.

While he still continues to deny the retirement rumors, the belief is that Goldust will be making the transition from active in ring performer to being a trainer. He will definitely stick around with WWE once he is done on the main roster. Lately, the people backstage have been talking about him being moved down to NXT to become one of the trainers there. Dustin Rhodes has long stated that he looks forward to that chapter in his life.

With rumors of his retirement hovering over the industry, Rey Mysterio decided to address the audience while making an appearance at Walemania. He confirmed that he will continue as an in ring performer. Mysterio also stated that Perro Aguayo would not have wanted him to retire because of the tragic accident. No word yet on when he will be stepping back into the ring, but Mysterio does have plenty of dates booked.

When he initially left WWE, Rey Mysterio was hoping to spend a couple of more years in the business. However, there are now talks that he is on the verge of retirement after the tragic accident that cost the life of Perro Aguayo in the ring. Mysterio is said to be filled with huge amount of grief and guilt even though he knows that it was not on purpose. The thought of being back in the ring might be too much for him at this point in time.

While no one outside of the company really knows when it will happen, Vince McMahon will eventually retire from WWE, either by choice or by nature. A power struggle of some sort is sure to ensue, but the belief is that Stephanie McMahon would take over after the retirement. The feeling is that she is being groomed for the spot by working with outside company as a brand ambassador. Leaving behind the creative front was another sign of that.
