Edge proposes to Vickie Guerrero, but things don't go as planned. By the end of the night, she's leaving the arena on a stretcher.

A Bit Predictable Smackdown was a bit predictable this week. It's not just because the episode was taped two weeks ago either. The predictability of this week's episode had more to do with the writing than anything else. For instance, we saw Finlay beating the Great Khali again. The Undertaker got yet another win over Big Daddy V. For all of the losing they've done as of late, the Great Khali and Big Daddy V sure seem like gentle giants. That's not a good way to promote an Elimination Chamber match. It would have been better for the writers to mix and match things up even more between the contestants of the Elimination Chamber match. They could have had Finlay facing the Undertaker. MVP can face the Great Khali. Batista can go up against Big Daddy V. Those matchups would be a lot fresher. Edge proposing to Vickie Guerrero was predictable as well. It does get an excuse, though, since it was a natural progression for the storyline. It was eventually going to happen. Plus, Edge puts on a good performance, so it makes this storyline a lot easier to tolerate. The tag team match was predictable as well, but we can forgive the writers for that since it does give the tag teams something to do. The division severely needs more attention from the writers.

Closing Thoughts

Pretty good show. Once again, Edge makes a segment entertaining with his promo work. The matches were a bit predictable, though.

Batista beat MVP

Pretty good match between the two. This looks to be a feud WWE should do in the near future. A big match between these guys at Summerslam would be good.

Finlay beat Great Khali

There needs to be some sort of twist to the program between Finlay and the Great Khali. It's becoming way too repetitive and predictable.

A battle of Smackdown's top four tag teams. Hopefully, this leads to a surprise fatal four way at No Way Out for the tag team titles.

Decent match where the writers basically combine two feuds into one tag team match. The match gave us a glimpse of Benjamin against Punk.

Edge & Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio makes the predictable attack as Edge proposes to Vickie Guerrero. It's such a shame that Mysterio has suffered another injury.

Big Daddy V sure has been looking pretty weak as of late. It wouldn't hurt the writers to have him getting the upper hand once against the Undertaker.

Vickie Guerrero

Vickie Guerrero sure does get stretchered out quite a bit since taking over as Smackdown's general manager, hasn't she?

This match was basically to further the program between Michelle McCool and Chuck Palumbo, who provided outside interference for Victoria.
