Batista, Undertaker & Finlay beat Great Khali, MVP & Big Daddy V
Batista, the Undertaker, Finlay, the Great Khali, MVP, and Big Daddy will be fighting one another at the upcoming No Way Out pay per view for a chance to headling Wrestlemania. On Smackdown this week, though, they were forced to work together in a 6 man tag team match.
It's a pretty fun match since it involved so many of the top tier guys on Smackdown. Those types of segments are usually enjoyable.
WWE put together this match to give fans a preview of what they'll see at No Way Out. What they'll see at the pay per view is basically the other four participants carrying (figuratively, that is) the Great Khali and Big Daddy V to a decent match.
Fortunately for us fans, the match should be pretty good thanks to the work of Batista, Finlay, MVP, and the Undertaker. Those guys are all capable workers, and they should be able to carry the match.
The only complaint about the match, though, was the fact that we saw a six man tag team match used on Monday Night Raw to promote their Elimination Chamber.
It would have been nice to have seen a little more creativity from the WWE writers. Granted, we understand that it's difficult to come up with fresh content 50 weeks out of the year, but it still would have been nice to have seen something different.
Perhaps, they should have gone with 2 separate triple threat matches on Smackdown to promote No Way Out. |
