Vince McMahon Endorses William Regal
Very good segment to start off the show. A lot of people were expecting Vince McMahon to come out and fire William Regal for his actions. WWE knew the fans would expect that, so they decided to surprise everyone by doing the opposite. Very nice move.
William Regal once again displays his power to the audience by lower the lights. Triple H and Mr Kennedy take offense to this, so William Regal sets them both up in a huge handicap match for later on in the night. |

WWE Women's Championship
Mickie James vs Beth Phoenix
Nice match here. Adding the lumberjacks outside of the ring enables Mickie James to pick up the win without totally taking away from Beth Phoenix's momentum.
If this was a feud between two male wrestlers, it would appear that they're headed toward a huge cage match at a pay per view. Since WWE doesn't really do female cage matches, it'll just lead to a straight up match between Mickie James and Beth Phoenix.
Winner: Mickie James |

Mike Adamle Replaces Jim Ross
Great segment here by WWE. Way to turn a negative into a positive. They knew that they weren't going to be able to make Mike Adamle into a good play by play commentator, so they decide to turn it into a gimmick and a storyline for him.
William Regal announces that Mike Adamle will replace Jim Ross at the announce table for the match. Smart move as that adds heel heat to both William Regal and Mike Adamle.
On the mic, Mike Adamle purposes does a bad job. Jerry Lawler plays his part pretty decently as well as he kept trying to correct Mike Adamle. |

Paul Burchill & Katie Lea Burchill vs John Cutler
Decent match, but if you saw it last week, then you already know what happens this week. It looks like the incest storyline has been put on the backburner so they can focus on pushing these two in handicap matches.
The match was hurt a bit because all of the attention was centered around Mike Adamle on the mic.

Chris Jericho & Shawn Michaels vs Miz & John Morrison
Very good match, especially since it's such a fresh matchup. Like I've always said, it wouldn't hurt to get more of these on the three shows.
Everyone knows that this match was to further the storyline between Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho. However, Miz and John Morrison did enough in the match to get themselves noticed.

Carlito's Cabana
A lot of wrestling fans are still hyped to see Roddy Piper. However, he wasn't really as entertaining as he used to be. After Carlito talks a little smack to the legend, Santino Marella predictably makes his way down to the ring.
That brings out Cody Rhodes, who has been given more opportunities on the mic. Then, he brings out Cryme Tyme, which was a bit random.
This segment would have been rated higher if it was a bit more clear who was getting elevated from it. |

Randy Orton vs CM Punk
The matchup got the audience excited, which was exactly what management wanted. There was never any plans for them to have this match end cleanly since neither guy should be doing the job here.
William Regal comes out and turns off the lights again to continue his gimmick.

JBL vs DH Smith
Another squash match for JBL. There's a good chance that he'll keep doing squash matches until Judgment Day when he faces John Cena.

Triple H & Mr Kennedy vs ECW
Nice move by WWE here as this accomplishes three different things.
First of all, it gives Monday Night Raw a big time main event. This match might never be a pay per view main event by any means, but it was interesting to see.
Secondly, it basically advertises ECW, which is celebrating their 100th episode on Tuesday night this week.
Third, it allows the writers to test out Mr Kennedy as a babyface by putting him with Triple H. Keep in mind that Mr Kennedy has yet to turn into a full fledge babyface at the moment.
The match itself was entertaining. Kind of surprising to see Chavo Guerrero picking up the win over Mr Kennedy. Wasn't expecting that at all.
After the match, the lights go out. When they come back on, Randy Orton is behind Triple H. He puts him out with the RKO. Then, he does that awesome creepy look that he does when he's the challenger.
Winners: ECW |

Overall, this was an entertaining show. The segments and the main event really carried the show. WWE should really try a bit harder to provide at least one great match per show, though. |
