WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Miz & John Morrison vs Finlay & Hornswoggle
Decent match. Good crowd support, especially when Hornswoggle was involved in the match. WWE booked the match to get more crowd heat on Miz and John Morrison for picking on the lovable Hornswoggle. Kind of disappointed with the result here because it would have been nice to have seen Miz and John Morrison moving on to bigger and better things as singles wrestlers.

WWE United States Heavyweight Championship Match
Matt Hardy vs Chavo Guerrero
The match itself was good, but the ratings for this thing suffered a bit because there's not a lot of heat behind this rivalry. WWE did a horrible job of building up the tension between these two. The ending was a nice swerve, though, as everyone thought that the US title would be heading back to Smackdown.

ECW Heavyweight Championship Match
Mark Henry vs Kane vs Big Show
If you were expecting a great match here, you obviously aren't familiar with the participants involved. All three guys are power brawlers, but none of them are capable of carrying a match. Some good spots. Kane takes out Big Show, but Mark Henry comes out of nowhere (pretty impressive speed here) to get the big splash, the pin, and the ECW title.
Winner: Mark Henry |

World Tag Team Championship Match
Ted DiBiase Jr & ??? vs Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly
The good thing about this match was the heel turn by Cody Rhodes. First of all, he had grown absolutely stale as a generic babyface. It became a pain whenever we'd see him each week on Monday Night Raw. Another side benefit of the heel turn is that Hardcore Holly is no longer holding a championship belt.
The bad thing about this match was that WWE made it a bit too obvious that Cody Rhodes was turning. The writing basically took away all of the surprise, especially when Ted DiBiase was asking for more time to unveil his partner.
Winner: Ted DiBiase Jr & Cody Rhodes |

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Kofi Kingston vs Chris Jericho
The match wasn't as crisp as it could have been. However, you can't really blame either guy because they've never worked a match against one another. It could be a great match once they develop some chemistry with one another.
Putting the belt on Kofi Kingston was brilliant. Chris Jericho never should have won the belt in the first place. Management only gave it to him because they were too lazy to find someone to wear the belt after Jeff Hardy was suspended. Plus, Kofi Kingston picks up a ton of momentum with the surprising title win.
Winner: Kofi Kingston |

WWE Women's Championship Match
Mickie James vs Katie Lea Burchill
A lot of people expected this to be a good match since the two participants are both tremendous in-ring workers. Things would have been a lot better had management been able to build up the rivalry better.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Edge vs Batista
Pretty good match, but most people have come to expect that since these two guys have worked so often together. The interference was expected because of a backstage segment earlier in the night that tried way too hard to get fans to believe otherwise.
After the match, there was a long awkward moment where Batista was in a daze. I'm sure that's going to lead to a storyline for Batista on Raw this week.
Winner: Edge |

WWE Heavyweight Championship Match
John Cena vs Triple H
Good match between these two guys. Not as good as their match at Wrestlemania, though. Most fans were thinking that John Cena was going to be taking the belt back to Raw since Edge kept the World title on Smackdown earlier in the night. WWE did manage to swerve the audience by having Triple H retaining the belt.
Winner: Triple H |

Overall, it was a good show, but it was a bit of a let down considering how much momentum WWE had from the Draft Lottery a week ago. The company should have produced a much better show to capitalize on that momentum. Unfortunately, though, this pay per view might have hurt that a little bit.
The wrestling itself was a bit of a disappointment overall. There was some good in-ring stuff, but nothing was great. There wasn't really a performance on the show where everyone is going to rave about. |
