The Breaking Point pay per view has come and gone, and the following are results from the big event.

Breaking Point Results

The following are quick results from the Breaking Point pay per view.

  • Chris Jericho & Big Show defeated MVP & Mark Henry.
  • Kofi Kingston defeated the Miz.
  • Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase defeated Shawn Michaels & Triple H.
  • Kane defeated Great Khali.
  • Christian defeated William Regal.
  • John Cena defeated Randy Orton.
  • CM Punk defeated Undertaker.

Some surprises here and there.

WWE Unified Tag Team Championship
Chris Jericho & Big Show vs MVP & Mark Henry

Excellent match. Chris Jericho is superb as always. MVP stepped up his game as well. Would have been better if the audience was more into the match, but you can't fault the wrestlers too much for that one.

Winners: Chris Jericho & Big Show
Match Rating: 8

WWE United States Heavyweight Championship
Kofi Kingston vs Miz

This match was thrown together at the last minute, so it's hard to blame the audience for not being into the match. Solid match. It's obvious now that WWE wanted to give Kofi Kingston another nudge with a clean win.

Winners: Kofi Kingston
Match Rating: 7

Submissions Count Anywhere
Degeneration X vs Legacy

Brilliant move making this a gimmick match. It enables them to cover up the lack of experience from Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. The match rating for this one went up just a notch because WWE did the right thing by giving the much needed victory to Legacy.

Winners: Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase
Match Rating: 9

Singapore Cane
Kane vs Great Khali

Awful match. Hopefully, it's time to move on. I gave this match a 3 rating instead of a 0 because my expectations were at an all time low for this match. Would have been better to have seen a match between John Morrison & Dolph Ziggler instead.

Winner: Kane
Match Rating: 3

ECW Heavyweight Championship
Christian vs William Regal

The average person isn't going to rank this match as high as I did. However, I'm one of these rare fans that really appreciate what William Regal is capable of doing. Put him in the ring with an established wrestler, and get ready to be taken to school. Old school.

Winner: Christian
Match Rating: 9

WWE Heavyweight Championship
I Quit Match
Randy Orton vs John Cena

People are going to complain about these two guys working together all of the time. People are going to complain about John Cena being the champion again. However, if you look at the match from an unbiased view, you'll see that these two guys put on a tremendous show. It was well booked and well executed.

Winner: John Cena
Match Rating: 10

World Heavyweight Championship
Submissions Match
CM Punk vs Undertaker

People are going to complain about the screw job ending, but I'm fine with it. It makes all of the sense in the world to do that. CM Punk's heel heat has grown tremendously because of this situation. His credibility has gone up as well since he was able to hang in there with the Undertaker.

Winner: CM Punk
Match Rating: 9

Closing Thoughts

With all of these great matches, this pay per view could have really stood out even more with a couple of minor changes. Swap out Kane/Khali for Ziggler/Morrison. They should have also thrown Miz/Kingston on to the show much earlier than they did.
