Yesterday, it was revealed that Brad Maddox had been released from his contract with WWE. Some speculation floated around as to the details surrounding the departure. Some thought that Maddox asked for his release so that he can work elsewhere. However, reports have now surfaced that the reason behind the firing is because Maddox called the Indianapolis audience, "cocky pricks", during a dark match promo.

Since he was a natural talker, as evident by the fact that he was once utilized as the on screen general manager of Monday Night Raw, WWE kept Brad Maddox around for as long as they could to see if they could find something that will work for him. Apparently, that quest has been canceled. Maddox has been given his release from his contract. He is now free to work on the independent wrestling circuit.

There are rumors floating around right now that Solomon Crowe has possibly been released by WWE. His profile was removed from the roster page on the official website. To add even more fuel to the fire, Crowe himself posted a message on social media about the earth standing still. He had a bit of a following in NXT when he first made his debut but his momentum severely waned after that.

Some sad news to report. Nick Bockwinkel has passed away. The former world heavyweight champion died at the age of 80. Not a lot of details have been released in regards to his death. Bockwinkel is vastly underrated. At one point in time, he was to the AWA what Ric Flair was to the NWA and Hulk Hogan was to WWE. Additional details on his death should be available later in the week.

As everyone should already know by now, Batista has a role in the recently released James Bond movie, Spectre. What some might not know is that the former world heavyweight champion has only one line in the movie. The director tried to come up with something profound for the character to say, but in the end, he realized that it really did not fit in with the context of the scene.

Batista is moving up even further in Hollywood. The new James Bond movie, Spectre, has already generated more than $80 million. That figure was accomplished despite the film not being released in the United States. Spectre should easily be able to break the $100 million mark. Batista has a role in the movie as a villain, so this should boost his presence with the other movie studios.
