Tony Briggs released from NXT

The second developmental wrestler to be released by WWE is Tony Briggs, who told his fans through social media on Friday afternoon. He was very thankful of the company and had nothing but nice things to say about those that trained him and helped him. Briggs vowed to make it back to NXT some day, so there is a very good chance that he will pursue his opportunities on the independent wrestling circuit to prove is worth again.

Denzel Freeman released from NXT

In a sign that even the most talented athletes in the world might not make it in WWE, Denzel Freeman has been given his release from the company. He went on social media on Friday morning and revealed to fans that his contract had been terminated. The former amateur wrestler stated that he had a lot of fun in NXT, but it is now time for him to move on, which sounds like he might be completely done with the industry.

TNA and Wrestle 1 partnership

There are rumors floating around that the partnership between TNA and Wrestle 1 has come to an end. Much of the speculation stems from the fact that Seiya Sanada was released from his contract before it was set to expire in July. Interesting enough, Sanada has opted to remain in the United States instead of going back to work in Japan. Nothing has been confirmed from either the Great Muta or Dixie Carter at this point in time.

A lot of information gets released when a big lawsuit is taking place. Since he is suing WWE for damages that were done to him while he was working for them, we now now how much Big Vito was making. His salary for the year was $75,000, which should come as a shock to fans who assume that wrestlers are paid a whole lot more than that. He was also given a percentage of merchandise sold, which really amounted to very little.

Taz leaving TNA

To clear the air, Taz revealed some details about his departure from TNA. He stated that his contract was up later on this summer, and he already had plans of moving on to do something else. The former world heavyweight champion stated that his decision to ask for a release was purely related to business. It was not personal, and he refuses to bash the company. The New York native also mentioned that he has no issues with Josh Mathews, whom he praises.

During a podcast interview with Jim Ross, Shawn Michaels confirmed something that fans have been speculating for years. He revealed that he was so miserable working in WWE that he asked Vince McMahon to release him from his contract so that he could head down to WCW. Michaels really wanted to be with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall at the time. McMahon, however, refused to let him go because he could not afford to lose another big star.

Vickie Guerrero did a podcast interview with Chris Jericho this week, and she revealed something rather interesting about the Radicalz making the jump to WWE. She revealed that even before Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero were released by WCW, there were discussions being had with Vince McMahon, which is essentially contract tampering. No lawsuit is likely to take place since the company no longer exists.

However, the company has now posted an official statement on the matter, confirming that Parker is indeed no longer with the company. Generally, the company tries to avoid publicizing such things because they do not want negative media attention.
