At a time when WWE needs as many top level stars around as possible, some bad news has been revealed about Randy Orton and his shoulder injury. Reports have surfaced that he could be out as long as six months after surgery. Orton could opt out of surgery, but that means that his shoulder has a higher chance of being dislocated every time he steps into the ring. Surgery enables him to return by Wrestlemania.

While there has been no confirmed return date just yet, the belief is that WWE is hoping that Randy Orton can be healthy in time for the Royal Rumble. A surprise return at a pay per view like that could do wonders for his momentum. Orton, of course, is going to be placed in a high profile match at Wrestlemania, so the front office would love to have him around for a couple of months before then.

While it is being said that the decision was not a last minute one, Seth Rollins was not aware of the plans when Wrestlemania started. In fact, he didn't even know what was to come while he was doing the job for Randy Orton. Management informed him of their decision during the segment with Ronda Rousey. That was when everyone involved was sent into a room with Michael Hayes to go over the revised finish of the match.

In a very logical move, WWE has decided to do a Wrestlemania rematch between Randy Orton and Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules. This time, however, the world heavyweight championship will be on the line. Management set this up at the previous pay per view by having Orton defeating Rollins before the latter went to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in the main event.

In the second match at Wrestlemania, Randy Orton defeated Seth Rollins. The match started out a bit slow, but towards the middle of the match, it became obvious that WWE did that by design. Once the pace picked up, fans in the audience started really getting into it. Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury were both taken out by a double apron DDT to the floor by Orton. A ridiculous flying RKO spot ended the match and sealed the victory.

While everyone is under the assumption that the Intercontinental Championship ladder match is going to steal the show at Wrestlemania, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins have a different plan in mind. They're hoping to produce the match of the night. Rumors are floating around that the two of them have been discussing plans on doing a spot that is as awesome as the one where Evan Bourne took a flying RKO while flipping off the top rope.

While they have managed to confuse some within the internet wrestling community, WWE still has every intention of doing a complete face turn for Randy Orton in the coming weeks. They have been testing out the audience at live events by having the former world heavyweight champion working against Bray Wyatt, a heel that does not have an opponent to practice with since he is currently involved in a Wrestlemania feud with the Undertaker.

A match between Randy Orton and Seth Rollins is still heavily expected to take place at Wrestlemania. That much is known. What is not known, however, is who management will have coming out on top after the bell rings. Many backstage in WWE are pushing for Rollins to be put over, so that he can be moved into a title program with Roman Reigns. However, there are some that are pushing for Orton to get the win because he is making a comeback.

For much of the past year now, WWE knew that they wanted Seth Rollins to have a spot on the Wrestlemania card. They simply did not know who he was going to work with. Management seems to have found a candidate in Randy Orton. While the match should be high profile, the feeling backstage is that this is simply a filler feud for Rollins. The company is simply killing time with him before they figure out when to pull the Money in the Bank trigger.

As expected, Randy Orton made his return to WWE over the weekend during Fast Lane. He immediately set his sights on the man that he will most likely be wrestling against at Wrestlemania. Unless something drastic comes about to change up the plans, Orton and Rollins are currently penciled to work a high profile match at the pay per view together. The rivalry will need to be built up again because Orton was forced to take a couple of months off.
