Rumors have been floating around that Randy Orton is set to make his much needed return to WWE in April. It has fueled speculations on the former world heavyweight champion being a last minute addition to Wrestlemania 32. The belief is that he won't be working the pay per view because it would seem like such a random addition at this point in time. At a time when WWE needs as many top level stars around as possible, some bad news has been revealed about Randy Orton and his shoulder injury. Reports have surfaced that he could be out as long as six months after surgery. Orton could opt out of surgery, but that means that his shoulder has a higher chance of being dislocated every time he steps into the ring. Surgery enables him to return by Wrestlemania.

While there has been no confirmed return date just yet, the belief is that WWE is hoping that Randy Orton can be healthy in time for the Royal Rumble. A surprise return at a pay per view like that could do wonders for his momentum. Orton, of course, is going to be placed in a high profile match at Wrestlemania, so the front office would love to have him around for a couple of months before then.

As of right now, WWE still has plans on Orton being utilized as a baby face. They simply wanted to show the friction between Orton and Rollins again in case some fans have forgotten after four months.

Fans have been waiting for the Randy Orton return for the last couple of shows now, and he has yet to make an appearance. The belief is that WWE is holding it off because they simply have yet to find a place for him on Fast Lane. If they are unable to get an opponent for the former world heavyweight champion, then his return might be delayed until after the pay per view. Management does not want him brought back without a story line.
