At one point, it even become the top trend on Twitter, a fact that Michael Cole proudly boasted to fans. Batista was not nearly as amused, as he took to the social media site today to bash fans for focusing on the color of his outfit, as opposed to the tremendous performance that he, Randy Orton, Triple H, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns put on.

Jim Ross
Even though he has not been with the company for quite a few months now, Jim Ross was actually under contract to WWE. Until today, that is. The legendary commentator revealed to fans through social media that his contract officially came to an end this week. While Ross has stated before that he would love to be the lead commentator for Monday Night Raw again, it does not appear that Vince McMahon is interested in that.

Alexander Rusev
Rumors are floating around right now that WWE has decided to drop the story line involving Zeb Colter, Jack Swagger, Alexander Rusev and Lana. WWE did not let her do much talking on Monday Night Raw this week.
July 22, 2014
Alexander Rusev
Vince McMahon decided to take a huge gamble at WWE Battleground 2014 when he had Lana and Alexander Rusev cutting a promo that hinted about the recent airplane disaster in the Ukraine. That received plenty of backlash from the media and from fans on social media websites. It got to the point where WWE even released a official statement with a veiled jab at those who are complaining.
July 21, 2014
Bray Wyatt
It looks like the previous media ban has been completely lifted for Bray Wyatt. WWE is now having him do interviews across the country to promote their events. In the past, the company has forced him to avoid speaking publicly, in order to keep an air of mystery around his character. Management wanted to mold him to be similar to the Undertaker character at one point in time.
July 19, 2014
Hulk Hogan
To get an idea of why WWE pays Hulk Hogan so much money even though he can no longer be an in ring performer, simply look at how he was treated during the recent tour of Japan. Media and fans in that country treated the Hogan return as a much bigger thing that the actual WWE live events. Hogan's involvement alone helped to generate better numbers for WWE in Japan than they have been receiving over the last couple of years.
July 17, 2014
Batista
For whatever reasons, Mick Foley took to social media this week to defend Batista, stating that it was unfair for fans to have this much hate towards him and his WWE return. Foley mentioned that Batista was at the wrong place at the wrong time because fans were so desperate to see Daniel Bryan being given a proper push. He also feels that not enough people are happy for Batista being featured in a big movie this summer.
July 14, 2014
Hulk Hogan
With the company in Japan for a tour, WWE stars were in for a bit of a rude awakening this weekend. A 6.8 earthquake struck the island country. Several of the stars made note of the incident through their social media website. Hulk Hogan revealed that his bed had moved around the hotel room. Fortunately, though, this particular earthquake did not produce devastating tsunamis like the last one.

David Otunga
About a month ago, it was reported that David Otunga was on his way back to WWE. He revealed those plans to the media, but those plans have yet to surface. Some are speculating that he could be a mystery entrant into the upcoming Intercontinental Championship battle royal at WWE Battleground 2014.
July 8, 2014
Samoa Joe
Some rumors are floating around this weekend that WWE is trying to sign Samoa Joe. The source of the speculations is said to be due to the fact that Triple H briefly followed Joe on Twitter. Sources are saying that Joe followed HHH back on the social media site, which means that they had the option for two way communications for a period of time this weekend. WWE has long avoided the signing of Joe, so this would be quite an interesting move if true.

Santino Marella
During a recent interview, Santino Marella informed the media of something that wrestling observers were already aware of. His in ring career is winding down soon. To his credit, Marella has also prepared for life after the ring by opening up a wrestling school.

CM Punk
When he decided to walk away from WWE, CM Punk went on a bit of a social media sabbatical. He recently started posting updates on Twitter again, but it's mostly been about hockey. His first wrestling related tweet was made this week when the former world heavyweight champion posted a little joke about a movie to his good friend Paul Heyman, who responded with a joke of his own.
June 29, 2014
Jillian Hall
Through social media, Jillian Hall revealed to her fans that she is back to working on an autobiography. There is some skepticism as to how well the book will sell, as her name value drops the longer she has been away from WWE. It has been nearly four years since her release from the company. It also does not appear to be much interest from TNA in signing her, either. That will make it much more difficult for her to move the books.
June 29, 2014
Kenta Kobayashi
Next month, WWE is heading over to Japan for a quick tour, and local media has been announcing that the company will hold a press conference to reveal that they have signed Kenta Kobayashi to a contract. Austin Aries
Since he was rather upset that TNA was allowing fans to choose the type of ring that the performers had to work in, Austin Aries aired his frustrations through Twitter. Now that the six sided ring has been officially brought back, Aries has decided to leave the social media site for the time being. The move is being done out of protest, but there's a good chance that the former TNA champion will be tweeting again some day.
June 25, 2014
Brooke Tessmacher
Since the two of them have just completed filming for the upcoming season of Amazing Race, there is a very good chance that Brooke Tessmacher and Robbie E, who are boyfriend and girlfriend in real life, will be returning to TNA in time to work the upcoming shows in New York City. The company can tout that the two of them are reality television stars, which might get a mention or two from the mainstream media.
June 24, 2014
Bobby Lashley
A big reason why Bobby Lashley was given the TNA World Heavyweight Championship this week is because he is viewed as a marketing asset. The company immediately sent out a press release to inform them that Lashley had become the new champion. There's some potentially bad news if you're a big fan of Daniel Bryan, as rumors are now surfacing that he might not be healthy enough to make a return at Summerslam 2014 as previously predicted. WWE wants to be very careful with his situation, as something negative could trigger a big storm with the mainstream media. Bryan is featured heavily on Total Divas and is one of the more known stars now in the industry.
June 19, 2014
Paige
Rumors leaked recently about Vince McMahon not being a big fan of Paige, which would explain why the creative department has not given her much to work with since she captured the WWE Divas Championship. That riled up her mother, who happens to be a professional wrestler in England. She replied on social media by denying the rumors and mocking wrestling sites for their accuracy. However, she later deleted the messages, perhaps realizing that she was adding fuel to the fire and hurting her daughter by addressing the rumors.
June 17, 2014
James Storm
The decision to invite members of the Dallas Cowboys to Slammiversary 2014 proved to be quite an effective marketing move, as TNA was able to garner some mainstream media coverage from George Selvie being involved in a segment with James Storm and Mr Anderson. July 21, 2014
John Cena
While the general consensus in professional wrestling is that the world heavyweight champion plays a bit part in the overall success of the company, a recent article from Forbes attempts to dispute that by looking at the financial ramifications during the title reigns of CM Punk, John Cena and Randy Orton. Since the numbers are all over the place, the author concluded that the heavyweight champion does not have much of an effect on the business end of WWE.
July 2, 2014
Randy Orton
On Monday Night Raw, WWE was quick to set up the main event for WWE Battleground 2014. John Cena will defend the heavyweight championship in a fatal four way match against Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Kane. The move was set up by Triple H, who did not reveal his reasoning for putting Reigns, an adversary, into the title match instead of Seth Rollins.
July 1, 2014
Randy Orton
Even though we have another pay per view before then, plans are already being penciled in for Summerslam 2014. Roman Reigns is expected to have a big role on that show, but management isn't certain on the details just yet. Right now, WWE has either Randy Orton or Triple H putting over the former Shield member. Both feuds are expected to eventually happen during this year, but the order isn't certain.
July 1, 2014
Triple H
There was a bit of concern backstage for Randy Orton during the main event of Money in the Bank 2014. Early on in the match, he was struck by a ladder, which caused him to bleed pretty badly. Medical personnel and Triple H immediately tended to him to stop the wound. While there were some fears of a concussion, Orton opted to finish the match. Afterwards, he was given nearly a dozen staples to close the wound. Orton reportedly is undergoing some tests today to check for concussions.

Kane
A lot of action took place in the main event of Money in the Bank 2014. June 29, 2014
Roman Reigns
As of right now, WWE has a big match between Roman Reigns and Randy Orton penciled in for WWE Battleground 2014. The company could set up the feud during the title match at Money in the Bank 2014. There are some rumors floating around that Orton and Reigns could be battling for the title at Battleground, even though it's a bit early for the big push to begin.
June 28, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
Rumors going around right now has WWE giving the world heavyweight championship to a heel at Money in the Bank 2014. The belief is that the company will set someone up to feud with John Cena and Daniel Bryan over the next few months. Antonio Cesaro has been rumored for a few weeks now, but some are skeptical of that because he hasn't been given a ton of momentum by WWE. Management will either hot shot the belt to Bray Wyatt or go with the safe route in Randy Orton.
June 16, 2014
Randy Orton
When Seth Rollins turned on the Shield and joined Triple H and Randy Orton, fans wondered which of his former partners WWE was going to have him feuding with first. It appears that the choice is going to be Dean Ambrose. The two of them worked a match at a live event in Ontario this weekend, meaning that they could have been getting in some practice before working matches on television. Rollins will eventually feud with Roman Reigns down the line as well.
June 15, 2014
Big Show
On Monday Night Raw, WWE did a story line where Randy Orton was on vacation. That led to speculations as to the real reason why he was not there. It has now been revealed that Orton suffered some sort of collarbone injury while working a match on Smackdown with Big Show. The belief is that the injury is not too severe and that Orton is scheduled to return to the next episode of Monday Night Raw in Cleveland.
June 12, 2014
Roman Reigns
When he turned his back on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, many were under the impression that Seth Rollins would be joining Triple H and Randy Orton in Evolution. However, WWE is having second thoughts on that plan, as there are currently nothing concrete about him being an official member of the stable. Rollins will simply be utilized as a heel who is allied with the Authority.
June 12, 2014
Randy Orton
The story on Monday Night Raw this week was that Randy Orton was on vacation and not at the show. The reason for that is to generate more heel heat for him from WWE fans. His character gets a shot at the world title from Triple H without having to win a qualifying match like the other performers are doing. No word yet on whether or not Orton was actually given the night off, though.
June 10, 2014
Triple H
In a pleasantly surprising move on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins did an unexpected heel turn and betrayed the Shield. As Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns were preparing to face off with Triple H and Randy Orton, Rollins shocked the WWE Universe by nailing his longtime partners with several steel chair shots. He stood tall with Orton and HHH afterwards to end the episode.

Since the interview took place in front of cameras, rumors have it that WWE was just selling the brutality of the match. Reigns is expected to be at Monday Night Raw later on today.
June 2, 2014
Batista
In a rather surprising move, WWE had the Shield win convincingly against Evolution. Batista and Randy Orton were the first two performers to be eliminated from the main event match at Payback 2014, but both provided interference for Triple H after their eliminations. After taking a brutal beating, Roman Reigns picked up the win for his team. Many expected Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to be eliminated during the match, but WWE opted to give them a dominant ending.
June 2, 2014
Triple H
A lot of people are hoping that WWE doesn't rush the Roman Reigns push, and it looks like the company is taking the slow approach. While he's eventually going to get his big time feud against Triple H in, there are now rumors that Reigns will be moved into a feud with Randy Orton next. Since Orton has been one of the top stars over the last decade, this should provide Reigns with a bit more credibility.
May 30, 2014
Batista
For weeks now, people backstage in WWE have been toying around with the idea of doing a heel turn with Sheamus, in hopes that it rejuvenates the former world heavyweight champion and brings him closer to the main event scene again.
