Reports surfaced over the last couple of days that Chris Jericho was going to be working his last show for WWE at Night of Champions 2014 in a match against Randy Orton. There is now speculation that the former world heavyweight champion might stick around shortly after that before leaving, similar to what Rob Van Dam did before taking his break from WWE recently.

The belief is that Orton feels that he should be involved in the main event scene more frequently. There was a bit of concern backstage for Randy Orton during the main event of Money in the Bank 2014. Early on in the match, he was struck by a ladder, which caused him to bleed pretty badly. Medical personnel and Triple H immediately tended to him to stop the wound. While there were some fears of a concussion, Orton opted to finish the match. Afterwards, he was given nearly a dozen staples to close the wound. Orton reportedly is undergoing some tests today to check for concussions.
