WWE cautious about recruiting college wrestlers

WWE has taken steps to make sure to not heavily recruit college wrestlers with eligibility remaining. The company does not want to build a bad reputation with college wrestling coaches by plucking away students with the lure of money.

He once had the Iron Sheik and Ric Flair together as trainees. The former went on to become WWE champion by defeating the legendary Bruno Sammartino, while the latter would become a legend in the NWA and WCW.
