Reason for John Cena absence on Monday Night Raw

The biggest reason why John Cena was kept off of Monday Night Raw this week was so that WWE could protect the Rock. The company wanted to downplay the fact that their heavyweight champion was not around as much as they possibly could, as that is one of the complaints from fans about the Rock.
