From a marketing standpoint, WWE just tells fans that Alberto Del Rio is from Mexico. To be more specific, the World Heavyweight Champion lists San Luis Potosi as his hometown.

After doing backyard wrestling for a bit as youth in West Virginia, Heath Slater decided to get serious about his ambitions to become a professional wrestler. He signed up with Curtis Hughes to start training. Hughes is a former WCW star, who was known as The Big Cat and Mr Hughes. He was also once the on screen bodyguard for Lex Luger and Harley Race.
