Since she has a little bit of free time now, Trish Stratus is dabbling into Hollywood again. The former WWE diva has been cast in an upcoming movie called Gridlocked, where she will be portraying a lead member of the SWAT team. The star of the movie is Danny Glover. The film is being shot in Toronto and London, so Trish will not have to be away from home too much.

Even though he has not been with the company for quite a few months now, Jim Ross was actually under contract to WWE. Until today, that is. The legendary commentator revealed to fans through social media that his contract officially came to an end this week. While Ross has stated before that he would love to be the lead commentator for Monday Night Raw again, it does not appear that Vince McMahon is interested in that.

In a sign that the financial situation in TNA is not as bad as many make it out to be, the company has signed new deals with three of their performers. Sam Shaw and Brooke Tessmacher are signed to new multiple year contracts, while international star Seiya Sanada has agreed to a one year deal. There were a lot of concerns about the company when they released several performers, so much of that should be alleviated now that they are signing new deals with their workers.

Since they're paying him a tremendous amount of money, Hulk Hogan has been traveling the globe for WWE. After being the unofficial featured attraction in Japan, the former world heavyweight champion has headed down to Mexico to do some promotion work for the company. WWE is doing a tour of the country soon, and they're hoping that Hogan can help spike interest much like he did in Japan.

On Monday Night Raw this week, Xavier Woods, who is only used sporadically on television by WWE, made a surprising appearance after a tag team match featuring Curtis Axel, Ryback, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. He cut a quick promo about how Kingston and Langston cannot get very far in WWE by being nice guys. This is the start of the long rumored stable, which has already been compared to the Nation of Domination by fans online.

During Monday Night Raw, a segment aired where Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked Chris Jericho in the locker room. That was actually a trick by WWE, as the footage was filmed at the pay per view on Sunday night. Jericho had actually hopped on a flight to Los Angeles on Monday morning, so that he can begin promotional work for the new Fozzy album.

TMZ has quite the fascination with WWE nowadays. The tabloid website recently reported that Nikki Bella, who recently received her real estate license, was spotted showing homes to Cameron and her boyfriend. Fans who watched WWE Battleground 2014 noticed that Rob Van Dam did not perform. Vince McMahon decided to take a huge gamble at WWE Battleground 2014 when he had Lana and Alexander Rusev cutting a promo that hinted about the recent airplane disaster in the Ukraine. In the previous generation, Sean Waltman was the benchmark when it comes to fans giving him heat because they legitimately resented the performer. Things became even worse after she put on a very sub par performance as well.

While doing an interview in Cleveland recently to promote his upcoming Hercules movie, the Rock was asked about a return to WWE and a potential match against his cousin Roman Reigns. The Hollywood star stated that it would not make sense right now for the match to happen because Reigns is not the top heel in the company. Rock floated the idea of returning as a heel, but that might not be something that WWE is interested in doing because they know that the fans will not root against the popular performer.

Triple H might be downplaying his arrival to the developmental program, but Kenta Kobayashi is far from a regular new performer joining WWE. Internally, he is being viewed as a major marketing asset as the company is hoping to expand its reaches in Japan. A television network has already agreed to air WWE NXT since Kobayashi will be featured on those shows. The Japanese star is also set to help promote the WWE Network when it expands overseas.

To get an idea of why WWE pays Hulk Hogan so much money even though he can no longer be an in ring performer, simply look at how he was treated during the recent tour of Japan. Media and fans in that country treated the Hogan return as a much bigger thing that the actual WWE live events. Hogan's involvement alone helped to generate better numbers for WWE in Japan than they have been receiving over the last couple of years.

The former Shield member has partnered up with an independent wrestler to start a wrestling school in Moline, Illinois. It is called the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy. Santino Marella recently did the same thing before being forced to retire from WWE due to neck injuries.

In a sign of how tight money is becoming in WWE, Vince McMahon has decided to take away the tour bus that the production crew used to travel in. This has reportedly upset several of the workers, as they were able to sleep while being transported to the next city to set up the arena. Now, they're being forced to drive themselves, which means that they are receiving very little sleep.

While the event is still several months away and nothing has been decided yet, Sting is already planting the seeds for a legendary match at Wrestlemania 31. The former WCW champion wants the Undertaker, and he is not shy about stating that publicly. Sting told the Mirror that he has already informed WWE of his wish for next April, so it is now up to Vince McMahon and Undertaker to decide if it will happen or not.

While it was still noticeable last night, WWE medical personnel worked fervently last night to repair the black eye on Bray Wyatt before he stepped in front of the cameras. They drained fluids from around his eye to reduce the swelling. Then, makeup artists did as much as they could to hide the darkness. WWE worked around the issue by having Erick Rowan and Luke Harper attacking Chris Jericho in the ring before Wyatt made a brief appearance on the stage.

As many of you saw on Monday Night Raw this week, a commercial aired for Sting on the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game. In a sign of how much the companies are banking on his marketing appeal, reports are surfacing that 2K paid approximately $200,000 to produce that video. The game had been receiving negative reviews from customers over the last couple of years, so the hope is that the inclusion of Sting can help to alleviate some of that.

A black eye usually is not something to be proud of. It is, however, when you're a lifelong wrestling fan being punched by one of the greatest performers that the industry has ever seen. Bray Wyatt received a black eye during a big live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weeken due to an errant punch by Ric Flair. Reports are stating that the incident happened because Flair forgot that he was wearing his hall of fame ring. There is said to be no backstage heat between the two due to the injury.

With the company in Japan for a tour, WWE stars were in for a bit of a rude awakening this weekend. A 6.8 earthquake struck the island country. Several of the stars made note of the incident through their social media website. Hulk Hogan revealed that his bed had moved around the hotel room. Vince McMahon was well known for being rather generous with his performers when it comes to food being served backstage. Sometimes, the dishes were very lavish.
