During a recent interview, Mr Anderson revealed just how close he is to Paul Heyman. He stated that during his early days in TNA, he would often call his mentor for help with his promos. Anderson stated that he loved how the company only gave him bullet points and allowed him some creative freedom on developing his character. Anderson and Heyman spoke on a near weekly basis. That is a sign that Heyman genuinely loves to help performers.

During a podcast interview with Chris Jericho, the wildly underrated Wade Barrett revealed a canceled story line that might not have gone over very well with the audience. When WWE was in Chicago last year, they wanted to take a jab at the fans by having Barrett impersonate CM Punk, who had left the company. Management changed up the plans at the very last minute and do an alternate segment with Paul Heyman teasing the audience.
