WWE inducting Fujinami

First and foremost, Tatsumi Fujinami is one of those guys that really deserve to be inducted into any and every wrestling hall of fame on the planet. However, there is some business involved to WWE choosing to honor him at Wrestlemania. The front office wanted to lure fans in Japan to watch the pay per view. They would love to observe one of their own being celebrated overseas. World Wrestling Entertainment is doing two shows in Tokyo in July.

Based on search engine reports, there is a disturbing amount of people that actually try to see if there is a Great Khali sex tape floating around somewhere on the internet. The former world heavyweight champion, who is rumored to be making a return to WWE soon, may have one in his personal life, but there are none online. Considering his popularity in India, the existence of a sex tape would become one of the bigger news stories overseas.

Chris Sabin to Europe

Since he is no longer with a mainstream wrestling company, Chris Sabin has been relatively quiet with the internet wrestling community. However, the former TNA star is still quite the hot commodity in Europe. He recently did a tour of Europe at the beginning of March and has now announced that he will be heading back overseas for at least another five shows. It is being said that promoters over there are paying him more to work there.

GFW special

Since he is having a bit of a hard time trying to secure a television contract with one of the national networks, Jeff Jarrett is said to be pitching the idea of doing a test run. GFW would run a super show that would feature talent from AAA, New Japan, the independent wrestling circuit in the US and international stars from the many business deals that he has set up overseas. Thus far, none of the networks have expressed interest in that.

Rey Mysterio booking

When word spread earlier this week that Rey Mysterio was asking for $20,000 to make an appearance at various events, a lot of fans were skeptical about him being booked. It looks like the price seems fair to a couple of promoters overseas already. On July 18, the former WWE star will be appearing at the London Film and Comic Con event. The following night, Mysterio will be making an appearance at an 4FW event in England.

Sabu in GFW

A name that has not been spoken much lately has joined the long list of potential roster members for GFW. Word going around is that Sabu is interested in joining the promotion when it starts doing live events. He is still actively working on the independent wrestling circuit, both here in the United States and overseas. The former ECW star would love to be back in the spotlight, and he has maintained a good relationship with Jeff Jarrett.

Sami Zayn return

In order to sell the brutal beating from Kevin Owens and to hide the fact that he was overseas with the main roster, WWE kept Sami Zayn off of television. That ends next week, as the former heavyweight champion is scheduled to make his television return to NXT. As of right now, he is penciled in to cut a very powerful promo about losing the belt to his former best friend. The character will also come up with a way to get a rematch for the title.

Samoa Joe in WWE

The widespread belief is that Samoa Joe will be heading overseas and working a sting with New Japan later on this year. However, there are now reports that he might not leave the United States at all. Sources are saying that WWE has contacted the former world heavyweight champion and has put an offer on the table for him to join their developmental program. No word yet on whether or not Joe is interested in doing NXT.

Great Muta scouting

During his latest business trip to the United States, the Great Muta did more than work a match on Impact Wrestling. He also did some scouting as well. The legend from Japan paid a visit to the wrestling school owned by Dory Funk Jr in Florida. Muta was looking for talented performers that might be interested in heading overseas and working for his Wrestle 1 promotion. Funk is a legendary figure in that country, so his students are valuable.

Samoa Joe in Bullet Club

One of the big reasons why people believe that Samoa Joe is going to be heading to New Japan for a stint is the fact that he already has a good amount of friends that are working overseas. The belief is that he would be a perfect candidate to join the red hot Bullet Club stable. His character already has quite the history with AJ Styles, and the move would give him an immediate connection with the audience a good story line to work with.
