Update on the Team 3D vs The Nasty Boys Feud
The Nasty Boys have been telling people backstage that they want to have a six-month feud with Team 3D. On the other hand, Team 3D has been saying they want out of the feud sooner than later. The feud may end at the Lockdown PPV.
The Nasty Boys & Hulk Hogan Mock Jay Lethal
It's being reported that there was some eye rolling in the TNA locker room when Hulk Hogan and The Nasty Boys had a laugh at the expense of X Division star Jay Lethal.
Jerry Sags openly questioned how long TNA will keep him employed and laughed at the audacity of his "Black Machismo" character.
Apparently in a tongue in cheek tone, Hogan later cracked during an appearance on The Bubba The Love Sponge Show that TNA should bring in Randy Savage to manage Lethal.
Jimmy Hart Returning To Manage The Nasty Boys in TNA?
Jimmy Hart was saying that he might return to TNA as a manager for The Nasty Boys. Hart recently told Crave Online that he might be returning soon to “manage some of the guys again” and when asked if it would be WWE or TNA he returned to, he said most likely TNA.
Some Win/Loss Records For Various TNA Superstars in 2010 So Far
Taking house shows, television and pay-per-view events into account, here are some interesting win and loss statistics for TNA this year.
- Brutus Magnus dropped to 0-12 on the year following his loss to Mr. Anderson in the opening Eight Card Stud qualifying match last night on iMPACT!. The only wrestler with a worse record than Magnus is Daniels, who is currently 0-13 on the year.
- TNA World Heavyweight champion AJ Styles lost his first match of the new year last night on iMPACT! to "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero. Styles was 16-0 before the airing of the match.
- Wrestlers who have yet to be beaten so far this year include Matt Morgan (4-0-1), Mr. Anderson (3-0), Orlando Jordan (1-0), and the Nasty Boys (1-0).
- Lacey Von Erich is the last remaining unbeaten in the Knockouts division as she is 1-0. Angelina Love was 1-0 prior to her loss to Tara last night on iMPACT!.
Jimmy Hart to TNA?
WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart was in Canada this past week promoting Wrestleicious and hinted at a return to TNA, possibly as the manager for The Nasty Boys.
Brutus Beefcake And the Nasty Boys Not Joining Hulk Hogan in TNA
According to Dave Meltzer, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and The Nasty Boys — Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags — are NOT coming to TNA. Many wrestling fans have speculated that all three individuals would be joining TNA as a result of their close ties with Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan / Ric Flair Reality TV Show?
Hogan, Ric Flair, Jimmy Hart, Brutus Beefcake and The Nasty Boys were recently filming footage in Australia for the pilot to the Hogan/Flair reality TV show.
Hulk Hogan’s Wishlist For TNA
The New York Daily News has published comments that Hulk Hogan made to a fan at a recent book signing regarding his vision for TNA Wrestling. Hogan said that he hopes to bring in Steve Austin, Randy Savage, Rob Van Dam, and the Nasty Boys tag team to TNA. He also wants to start a new Monday Night War against WWE.
"I wish to talk to Rob Van Dam, who is considering returning to the ring, and convince him to join TNA," Hogan said. "Plus I'm also wishing to contact ex-Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Macho Man Randy Savage."
The newspaper reports that Hogan is pushing for TNA programming on Monday nights, which was one rumored around the time it was announced Hogan and Eric Bischoff are partnering with TNA.
Hogan says he "considered for months" guest-hosting Monday's Raw from Madison Square Garden before he "sealed the deal" with TNA.
Hulk Hogan Claims He Could Bring Other Big Names To TNA
During a radio interview with Bubba The Love Sponge this morning, Hulk Hogan touted Steve Austin, Randy Savage and The Nasty Boys as possible names that could join him in TNA. Hogan said he patched things up with Savage. He also mentioned he wanted to know how serious Bubba was about a role on TNA creative alongside him.
