The current plan for Stu Hart's Hall of Fame induction is for Natalya and Harry Smith to do the introduction and for Bret Hart to do the acceptance speech. Hart and Ted DiBiase's inductions are the scheduled HOF "main events" that will air on the USA Network.
Ted DiBiase Jr. & Brett DiBiase Will Induct Ted DiBiase Sr. Into the Hall of Fame
Ted DiBiase Jr. noted on his Twitter page that he and his younger Brett, one-half of the FCW Tag Team Champions, would be inducting their father into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
First Inductee to the WWE 2010 Hall of Fame Revealed
The first name officially announced by WWE for the 2010 Hall of Fame is The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. No word yet on who will be inducting him.
Ted DiBiase Jr. Comments on Injuries
Michigan's LansingCityPulse.com has an article looking at the WWE careers of Ted DiBiase Jr. & Sr. Both men are quoted in the article. As he becomes used to the WWE lifestyle as one of the top stars on the Raw brand, Ted Jr. says he doesn't want to lose sight of the toll wrestling takes on the body:
"When you do that (take bumps) day after day, you kind of grow numb to it. That's the scary part, when you ignore little pains that grow into big problems, like back injuries. Then you need surgeries. It’s not a matter of ‘if’ it happens, it’s ‘when’ it happens. That’s when you get your vacation."
Ted DiBiase Rumored for WWE Hall of Fame
The latest name rumored to be inducted into the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame is "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. WrestlingFigs.com reports that DiBiase is rumored for this year but nothing has been confirmed.
Funny Story About Ted DiBiase Jr. And the Million Dollar Title Belt
WWE Raw superstar Ted DiBiase spoke to Eric Cohen of About.com this week to promote the release of his new WWE Studios DVD, The Marine 2. To read a full interview with DiBiase, visit About.com.
During the interview, DiBiase told a story from his childhood when he brought his father's Million Dollar title info school one day for show and tell.
"One time in fourth grade we had show and tell," DiBiase recalled. "I stole my dad's briefcase and I took it to show and tell. Everybody else is walking in with their backpacks and sack lunches pulling out these dolls and stuff. I've got this briefcase and everybody was like what is that.
"I was just saying it was a briefcase. When it came my turn, I put the briefcase up on the table, punched in the code, opened the briefcase, and there it is in all of its glory, the Million Dollar Belt. So I stole the Million Dollar Belt and took it to show and tell. So yeah, I was the most popular kid in class for a time after that."
WWE Removes Hulk Hogan and Mick Foley From Its Intro Video
On Saturday's Tribute To The Troops special during the WWE "through the years" video intro they removed Hulk Hogan and replaced him with the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. They also removed the clip of Mankind getting thrown off the Hell In A Cell in '98 and replaced it with Jeff Hardy diving off a ladder at WrestleMania 25. Interesting that they chose a Jeff Hardy clip to use. Hogan and Mankind have been shown since WWE started showing that intro Video in October 2005. For what it's worth, Ric Flair is still in the Video.
Latest WWE Discussion About the WWE Hall of Fame
On the flight to England this past week, there was a lot of discussion between WWE creative and Vince McMahon regarding the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame class.
The names discussed this week that Vince liked the most was Ted DiBiase, King Kong Bundy, Lawrence Taylor and Jake Roberts. DiBiase remains the most consistent name talked about but there is some concern that they might not be able to get Taylor, who wrestled Bam Bam Bigelow at WrestleMania 11. Obviously there is also concern about booking Jake Roberts considering his problems with alcohol and his reputation among people in the business. Roberts blew WWE off a while back for promotional work on his own DVD so saying that he would easily come for a Hall of Fame payoff is stretching it.
Regarding The Ultimate Warrior, he was talked about a week earlier but his name wasn't seriously talked about on the flight to England this past week.
Ted DiBiase Sr. Responds to Recent Criticism
Ted DiBiase issued the following statement in regard to comments Paul Roma recently made about him on JamesGuttman's www.WorldWrestlingInsanity.com website:
In response to Paul Roma,
I told many people about the wrong things I did, I even wrote a book about it. That's something everybody knows. I also have been very vocal about a lot of the WWE programming in the past. And, yes, when I went back to work for them, they were well aware of my objections to some of the programming. But what I realized as a Christian is this, if I'm genuinely going to make a difference in the world and try to impact others with what I've found in Christ, then I can't do it sitting in church praying about it. I have to be visible in the market place. I went back to the WWE to show them the difference in who I am now and to try to make a difference. You can't promote change standing on the sidelines. So I went back. The truth is, the WWE has changed incredibly since my wrestling days. The work schedule is not as demanding overall, and the compensation is much better. Also, a state of the art drug testing policy brings accountability into the business that wasn't there before. People getting into the WWE now, know that there is zero tolerance for steroid and drug abuse. If I hadn't seen the changes I would never have given my son my blessing to go into the business. The programming, by the way, is once again, totally PG rated.
The truth is, I'm still very much sold out to Jesus Christ. I don't think Vince McMahon is evil or the devil. I think he's a very shrewd business man. He's also the guy responsible for the unbelievable fan base that professional wrestling
enjoys today on a world wide scale.
Please tell Paul Roma that's he's got it wrong all the way around, including how much I'm paid for going back and making an appearance. And the Million Dollar Man, well, that would be my son in the not so distant future!!

Every time Paul Roma joins James Guttman on ClubWWI.com, there's surprising statements and tons of controversy. On the subject of overpushed wrestlers through the years, James and Paul Roma speak about Triple H and his super-push. Roma discusses the changes Hunter has made through the years, the politics he plays, and the bizarre place he saw his face when he went to MSG last year. Guttman brings up the recent DX vs. Legacy feud and how the night after Hell in a Cell, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes didn't even appear on Raw following their loss to Hunter and Shawn Michaels, yet Trips and HBK appeared…and won a tag match against Big Show and Chris Jericho. While Paul discusses that situation, it's the name DiBiase that sparks a rant. He addresses The Million Dollar Man, another former ClubWWI.com guest, and the former Horseman shoots hard…
"You mentioned (Ted) DiBiase and his son and all that. I guess probably like ten years ago, I had spoken to DiBiase, he was out of wrestling, and he became this reverend or whatever he became. So I called him up and we were talking and he goes, 'Yeah. Listen. I found a good place.' He says, 'I was a bad person when I was with Vince (McMahon). I'll never go back to that again. He's evil. Blah, blah, blah.' And then, the next thing I know, this guy is working for Vince again. Like, you know, so at the end of the day it doesn't matter - wait let me rephrase that. At the end of the day, for Ted DiBiase, he can preach all he wants. He can talk about God all he wants. Bu his God is spelled M-O-N-E-Y."
James laughs and says that was always part of The Million Dollar Man's gimmick, but Paul points out that his decision flies in the face of selling anything.
"If he really believes and wanted to sell me what he was trying to sell me, he wouldn't be back with Vince. He wouldn't be back with the devil."
Guttman compares this to Billy Graham's up and down feelings for Vince and WWE. He's gone from hating them to loving them to hating them again. It seems like some legends should pick a side and stick to it because going back and forth does nothing for their own credibility. Paul agrees and explains to ClubWWI.com listeners that the financial reward isn't even that great.
"If DiBiase went and sat at ringside or, you know, Vince gave him um-teen thousand dollars and he said, 'OK. I'll go back in the ring and do this.' And he needed the payday, that's fine. Go do it. But you're working for him on a consistent basis. Again, I don't know what people's financial situations are and, again, if you want to go and do that one shot deal and get a payday, great. But to go sit at ringside and have Vince pay you 500 bucks is a slap in your face. Do you really need $500 that bad? Really? That's what they're getting to sit at ringside when he was bringing in legends and sit them there. That's what he's getting. So you want to turn around and he wants to put you in the ring with somebody to do a legends match or a legend against some newbie and you want to do a job, that's your call. He wants to put you over, that's your call too. But at the end of the day, make it worth your while."
