Reason for Sting’s Lengthy Beatdown of RVD on Impact
There was a lot of controversy over Rob Van Dam's TNA debut this past Monday. Some fans felt that RVD came off looking bad after getting beat up from Sting's baseball attacks for several minutes.
According to Mike Johnson, the beating was supposed to be shorter but Hulk Hogan missed his cue to come out and they had to stall for time.

3 Surprises for Impact Revealed?
As has been confirmed multiple times this weekend, TNA Wrestling has three "surprises" tentatively planned for this Monday's edition of Impact.
According to Dave Meltzer, the three names currently scheduled to be on the show are Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, and Sting.
There are some people scratching their heads when it comes to TNA's promotion of the show. TNA created a viral video on YouTube (promising a big surprise in the first five minutes) that has 40,000 views, yet they didn't air the same video on Thursday's show which had 1.5 million viewers.
Surprise Debuts on Tomorrow’s Impact
According to www.f4wonline.com, "at least three surprise names" are set to debut on tomorrow night's live show. RVD is almost certainly guaranteed, Sabu has been rumored. Sting may have been considered by f4wonline.com as one of the surprise names to appear tomorrow, but his return has now been confirmed as well (by TNA).
WWE Planning WCW-Themed Hall of Fame for 2011?
F4WOnline.com is reporting that the early plan for next year's WWE Hall of Fame is to base it on a WCW theme. Since Wrestlemania is being held in Atlanta next year, which was the base of WCW operations, WWE is considering inducting names like Sting (assuming he's not working with TNA) Lex Luger, The Steiner Brothers, The Road Warriors and other notable WCW names.
Sting Returning For Monday’s TNA Impact?
Dixie Carter posted the follow on her twitter page (Twitter.com/TNADixie): Spoke w/Sting last nite. We've renewed his contract & he said he wouldn't miss Mondays live show for anything. Can't wait to work w/Hulk It appears Sting is heading back to TNA on Monday!
Sting’s TNA Status
According to Dave Meltzer, Sting's name hasn't been mentioned as of late in TNA. If Sting doesn't appear on the March 8th Impact, that could be a sign that the company has given up on him.
Eric Bischoff Speaks on Sting’s TNA STatus
Sting missed last month’s TNA Genesis PPV and that week’s Impacttapings due to a family emergency that we still don’t know any details on. Nobody is questioning the legitimacy of Sting’s reason as he has had a reputation for years of not being one to come up woth excuses to miss shows.
Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan talked about Sting on Bubba the Love Sponge’s show last week and Bischoff knocked Sting for missing the tapings. Bischoff said that everyone in TNA has to be completely committed to the organization or things won’t work out, with Hogan adding he doesn’t see how they can use anyone missing shows.
This was seen within TNA as a message being sent to Sting.
Bischoff said, “Sting’s a great talent. Love him to death. My problem is now that we’re trying to do this big picture. I understand how big picture it is for the wrestling business. Sting had life-and-death personal issues, but from a business side, it totally screws us up. If at any time that happens, I got a personal issue, now we have to switch gears on who we use, you can’t build the world around them. Everybody has got to make a commitment. It’s easy to say we want TNA to be No. 1, but if you’re not willing to put TNA as a priority above almost every situation, then it’s probably not going to work out.”
Ric Flair’s Role in TNA & Why He’s Playing a Heel
The basic idea in TNA with Ric Flair is for him to give rubs to other stars, starting with AJ Styles. Eventually this will lead to a program with Flair vs. Sting.
According to Dave Meltzer, Flair wanted to be a heel again because he prefers being in that role.
