Matt & Jeff Hardy Appear in a Video Promoting WWE NXT
Matt Hardy was recently featured in a new video update giving his thoughts on ECW closing and NXT starting up. He mentions that ECW doesn't seem as a big loss to him, but he wishes the talent get jobs on the other brands.
In the video he also mentions that Justin Angel/Gabriel, who he will be mentoring on NXT, has been described to him as "FCW's version of AJ Styles" so he guesses it's a good thing.
An appearance also by Jeff Hardy was made promoting his autograph signings this weekend with Shannon Moore. He teases that he might show up on WWE NXT because "he needs to be trained again", or on TNA "rocking out with Hulkmania" or on ROH, but then looks at Matt and they both doubt that scenario will happen. You can watch the video at this link.

Woman From Jericho/Helms Incident Speaks Out
The following is from TMZ.com:
The woman who took an elbow to the face from WWE star Greg "Hurricane" Helms Wednesday morning claims she has no ill feelings towards the wrestler -- because she was merely collateral damage in a "play fight."
The woman, Ashley Storer, tells TMZ the whole thing went down after her group finished boozing at a local Kentucky bar and crammed into the back of a taxi cab.
Storer claims she somehow got stuck sitting in between Jericho and Helms -- who began play fighting when things "escalated because we were drunk."
Storer claims that's when she took an elbow to the cheek -- and the cab driver pulled over at a nearby gas station. Helms and Jericho were ultimately arrested for being drunk in public -- Storer claims Matt Hardy was completely sober.
Storer also tells us cops blew the situation out of proportion -- but admits she may have exacerbated the situation because, "I was crying and drunk and tired from being out all night and I just wanted to leave."

Lots of Updates on Jericho / Helms Arrest

TMZ.com has released some new details regarding the Wednesday arrest of WWE superstars Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms. Kentucky police officers say witnesses told them Gregory Helms struck three people, including Jericho, a man named Gary Kelley and a female passenger named Ashley Storer, at a gas station. Helms then allegedly ran from the scene right after the violent incident but returned after where he and Chris Jericho were arrested for public alcohol intoxication. Cops say Helms was not arrested for the assault because the alleged victims have not pressed charges, which in Kentucky if police do not witness the attack. The female who Gregory Helms allegedly struck does not want to press charges at this time while the male said he's considering it.
Local newspaper The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the two were arrested at a Shell gas station around 5:45 AM on Wednesday and charged with public alcohol intoxication. After spending about an hour in jail, they were released after each paying $120 fines. The two had been in nearby Cincinnati, Ohio the previous night for this week's SmackDown taping. Jericho posted the following message on Twitter hours before the arrest: "Listening to zakk Wylde and having a GG contest with Hurricane. It's the woods vs the praries. Praires are winning..." It's pure speculation, but some are guessing "GG" stands for Grey Goose (vodka).
There are a few more details regarding the Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms arrest story. According to Dave Meltzer, several sources have told him that Helms never hit the woman in the taxi, Ashley Storer. Helms left the taxi and ran off when the driver stopped at the gas station. Matt Hardy was chasing Helms and trying to get him to come back. Police are not pursuing any sort of action against Hardy. It is also being said the CM Punk and Christian were the ones that bailed Jericho/Helms from jail.
Jim Ross posted a new blog on JRsBarBQ.com today and included the following note regarding the arrests of Chris Jericho and Gregory "Hurricane" Helms: "TMZ making a semi big deal about a situation that Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms found themselves in this week," Ross writes. "Both these guys are great people and are credits to the biz and I suggest that this well could be much to do about not much. "No one should rush to judgment about this issue especially since neither individual has addressed there side of this overblown story. This matter definitely deserves a 'Lighten Up Francis.' Wrestling needs more hard working, students of the game who are still fans of the biz like Jericho and Helms."
WWE.com's "Superstar of the Day" for January 28th was Hurricane Helms, whose name is in the news due to his arrest for public intoxication. This story broke last night, so it's interesting that the website would still feature Helms today. However, sometime in the afternoon, Helms was replaced with Cody Rhodes.
