Some somber news to unfortunately start the week for professional wrestling fans. Bret Hart has announced that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The WWE legend stated that he will be undergoing surgery in the near future to see if he can finally beat the disease. Hart vowed to his fans that he will do everything that he can to fight the disease. Bret also mentioned finding inspiration from someone that lost their fight to brain cancer.

At a time when WWE needs as many top level stars around as possible, some bad news has been revealed about Randy Orton and his shoulder injury. Reports have surfaced that he could be out as long as six months after surgery. Orton could opt out of surgery, but that means that his shoulder has a higher chance of being dislocated every time he steps into the ring. Surgery enables him to return by Wrestlemania.

Some bad news for those of you that have been anticipating the in ring debut of Lana that WWE has been setting up over the past several weeks. She recently injured herself while training in the ring before a live event. Her left wrist was severely damaged, and company representatives are saying that she is going to require surgery that will keep her away from the ring for approximately four months.

Some good news and bad news for the Usos. The good news is that Jey Uso successfully underwent surgery to repair a lot of injuries to his body. The bad news is that he is now required to miss approximately six months of action. That means that their involvement in the tag team division has to be halted. WWE might still use Jimmy Uso as a singles performer, but he will more than likely be relegated to working low profile matches.

Earlier in the year, Eddie Edwards suffered a broken foot while doing a match on Impact Wrestling. That caused TNA to really think about the future of the tag team championship. Well, it looks like they have received a bit of good news in that department. Edwards opted against having surgery. He found another method of rehabilitation. Things are going well enough to where he could be back in the ring around May.

Some good news for Diamond Dallas Page. He is being allowed to check out of the hospital for a couple off days. However, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion is being advised to not talk or scream during the next couple of days. DDP is scheduled to head back into the hospital for surgery on Thursday or Friday, where doctors will attempt to repair his issues with Subglottic Tracheitis. No word yet on how long the recovery period will be.

Some very troublesome news about Diamond Dallas Page has emerged. He is currently in the hospital, and it looks really bad. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion was not able to breathe because his vocal cords had somehow become connected. DDP revealed that there was absolutely no space in between them. Doctors currently have him in the intensive care unit, and surgery sounds like it will be necessary to repair the damage.

Those of you that are hoping to see Santino Marella as an active in ring performer for WWE, there's some bad news coming from the man himself. He revealed on social media that he recently went in for surgery to remove some hardware from a previous surgery. Marella did not go further in depth, but apparently things did not go as everyone had hoped for. The former Intercontinental Champion did not completely rule out an eventual return.
