He appeared to be rather upset about the situation and even posted information on how to book him, leaving fans to wonder if he was going to be walking away from TNA. The former United States Heavyweight Champion stated that he might have jumped to conclusion and reacted a little too quickly.

The road to recovery is still a long one, however, as the former WWE star still has four holes in his skull. He will be inactive for much of this year.

He revealed on social media that he recently went in for surgery to remove some hardware from a previous surgery. Marella did not go further in depth, but apparently things did not go as everyone had hoped for. The former Intercontinental Champion did not completely rule out an eventual return.
