Some potentially good news if you're a ROH fan. Joe Koff has officially announced that a new general manager for the promotion has been appointed. Gregory Gilleland will go from being the business manager to the general manager, which is an actual position backstage and not an on screen one. The hope is that Gilleland will be able to focus more on Ring of Honor than Koff was able to do.

The good news for Lucha Underground is that they managed to survive as a business and will have at least a second season to work with. The bad news is that Big Ryck is unlikely to be there. Unless he changes his mind, the former WWE star is retiring from the business. He informed an independent wrestling promoter in Germany of his decision. He could change his mind if LU were to offer him a better contract.

When he found out that TMZ was going to posting a controversial video on him, Hulk Hogan immediately called WWE to inform them of the situation. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that Vince McMahon never even bothered to talk to him during the entire ordeal. Hogan stated that Triple H was the one that kept in touch with him. HHH was also the one that gave Hogan the bad news about their business separation.

The masked legend from Japan is tied to New Japan, which has a business partnership with ROH. That has led to speculations that there could be some bad blood between World Wrestling Entertainment and Ring of Honor soon.

The latest news from this developmental is that Joe Koff was only given a six month contract from the channel. Network executives are only doing this on a trial basis because they are unsure if Ring of Honor is good enough of a brand to draw in advertisers and sponsors. To put it more simply, he is now in charge of the creative department. The signing has brought a bit of mainstream media attention to the company, but that is not the sole reason why it was done.
