Rey Mysterio opponent dies

When it was announced that Rey Mysterio was returning to wrestle in Mexico, everyone knew that it was going to be an eventful moment. Just not this type of eventfulness. El Hijo del Perro Aguayo, whose real name is Pedro Aguayo Ramirez, reportedly took a dropkick to the trachea and slumped to the ropes. Konnan unsuccessfully tried to revive him backstage. Local news reports in indicate he died shortly after midnight.

Samoe Joe departure

The internet wrestling community reacted very negatively upon hearing the news that Samoa Joe was leaving TNA. Apparently, the same is true of the locker room. Reports have surfaced that the majority of people backstage are upset that the former world heavyweight champion is leaving the promotion. Joe was very well liked backstage by his peers, and some even viewed him as a locker room leader. His departure has affected morale a bit.

Drew McIntyre news

While the company will never admit to keeping up with the competition, WWE is rumored to be heavily interested in news on Drew McIntyre. Many are curious to see what he can accomplish now that he is under contract with TNA. A lot of people backstage feel that he could have easily been a main event performer had he not lost the faith off management due to some unfair perception that was conceived about his lack of toughness.

When it comes to backstage news in professional wrestling, fans are really intrigued about dating rumors. It fascinates them to see their favorite performers in WWE being involved with one another. A new rule has been implemented by Vince McMahon that changes things up a bit. While performers are still allowed to date one another, they are no longer allowed to have relationships with front office and production workers.

Jeff Hardy injured

A bit of bad news has come out of the Lockdown taping. TNA personnel were said to be quite concerned with the health of Jeff Hardy after a brutal spot from the steel cage. Some are even saying that he was knocked out once he was helped backstage. To his credit, Hardy did manage to finish the match. Tommy Dreamer raised the concerns even further when he stated that this was the first time that he has ever been worried about Hardy.
