Jericho on Hulk Hogan Joining TNA, His Band Fozzy, and His Upcoming Book

WWE wrestler Chris Jericho says he hopes Hulk Hogan helps TNA become a bigger company to give the WWE competition in the marketplace. Jericho says a stronger TNA would help WWE become better. “Anything that makes that company bigger is better for us,” Jericho told expressnightout.com. “Competition is what we thrive on, so good luck to them. I hope they get a real big boost from it.” Jericho has said in interviews recently that he feels WWE is at a “crisis point” when it comes to a lack of new stars. A strong argument could be made that WWE doesn’t have a sense of urgency to create new stars due to a lack of true competition. If TNA were to begin making a dent in WWE’s business, it could lead to a sense of urgency that has been missing from WWE’s business model for promoting and elevating new stars.
Jericho says he might consider taking time off early next year to tour with his band “Fozzy” after the release of their next album in January. “We did a lot of touring overseas: U.K., Ireland, Australia, Scotland — we did really good in those markets. I would be really interested in doing that again, but it all depends on what kind of timeline I have,” Jericho told Express Night Out. “You can’t spread yourself too thin because that’s when you really start losing it. That’s what I did last time: I just had so much going on that I started losing my mind.” Jericho took a hiatus from WWE in 2005 and returned in November 2007 after what he called mental burnout. “I wasn’t really mentally there, and if you’re not mentally there in this job you might as well just quit because you get hurt or you hurt somebody else,” Jericho said.
Jericho took time to write his autobiography during his hiatus and is currently working a second book detailing his WWE career. He says he is delegating some of the book-writing to others after writing “every word” himself in the first book. “The first one, I was a complete control freak,” Jericho said. “Everything was under my control. This time, I’m delegating a little bit of the responsibility just so it can get done. If not, it probably wouldn’t get done at all because I just don’t have the time for it right now.”
Top Indy Booker Gabe Sapolsky Disses Smackdown and Jericho Responds
Former ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky wrote the following on his MySpace page:
"Well, sorry that this blog turned into more of a hard sell than usual. This won't become a regular habit. There is just a lot going on. I stopped by the Smackdown taping last night and left after CM Punk's promo. Punk was great, but the taping sucked. Most of the wrestlers were robotic (stop at top of ramp, pose, walk into ring, ignore entire crowd and turn to hard cam, pose, turn back to ramp and wait for opponent). Everything was formulaic. I sat there for two hours from the opening bell waiting through dead time between matches and endless videos before Smackdown actually started. However, it wasn't all bad as Tommy Dreamer is still over in Philly and Punk is a superstar. Anyway, my point. I saw some crappy wrestling lately that turned me off to the business. Now this weekend there are three cards and I'm looking forward to every match on each of them. I don't know if they'll all be good, but they are all interesting, fresh and have potential. This is roughly 25 matches. Things are great when you find yourself looking forward to 25 matches in one weekend. I'll have a report next week in this blog."
Chris Jericho posted the following response on his Twitter page:
"Dammit if Gabe Sopolsky wasn't impressed, then what chance does the WWE have to survive even one more day??? Breadline, here I come..."

What Ted DiBiase Jr., Chris Jericho and the Bigshow Like To Listen To
WWE wrestler Ted DiBiase told MTV.com that listening to Eminem’s music makes him angry.
“I’m a fan of all music,” DiBiase said. “I’m not just saying that. I like the pop music that comes out. I live in Mississippi, so I do like the country music. I’m a big fan of the Kings of Leon. I really dig their music. I work out to Eminem and stuff. He gets me going in the gym. He’s got some good lyrics, and he gets me a little pissed off. That’s what I need to push some weights sometime.”
DiBiase also revealed what music a couple of his colleagues listen to.
“It depends on if Big Show has his iPod dock or Chris Jericho [has his dock],” he said. “If it’s Chris Jericho, then it’ll be Ozzy [Osborne]. It’s all rock and roll. Then Big Show, he’s got some old country, Hank Williams Jr. It varies.”
