Bobby Lashley Would Leave TNA To Join Strikeforce

In an interview with Sherdog.com, TNA Wrestling star and MMA fighter says he'd strongly consider walking away from pro wrestling if he was offered an exclusive deal with Strikeforce.

"If it does come to a point where you have to choose, then I'll have to sit back and talk with my family. I want to fight," Lashley said. "TNA is at the understanding where they know my dedication with fighting. If (Strikeforce CEO Scott) Coker comes back and says you have to quit wrestling, then we'll have to cross that bridge."

TNA offered Lashley great money to work a reduced schedule and they understand fighting is his top priority.

Lashley professional MMA record is 4-0, most recently defeating Bob Sapp on June 27th. There were reports over the summer that Strikeforce was negotiating with Bobby Lashley to fight Fedor Emelianenko at last weekend's CBS event. Lashley declined the high profile fight because he didn't think he'd have enough time to train properly, but Strikeforce is interested and can certainly use another rising star with name value in their heavyweight division.

Samoa Joe Talks About Hulk Hogan Coming To TNA

In an interview with Alex Marvez, TNA wrestler Samoa Joe says he's heard through "mutual acquaintances" that Hulk Hogan is a fan of his hard-hitting in-ring style.

"Hulk seems pretty inspired, from what I'm hearing. I'm a huge personal fan of his. He's always been complimentary when asked about me."

"I don't really know what's going to ultimately happen. TNA has been keeping a tight lid on their plans with Hulk," Joe said. "From what I've gathered being in the (TNA) office this past week, people across the board are excited. The end result should be interesting."

Latest WWE Discussion About the WWE Hall of Fame

On the flight to England this past week, there was a lot of discussion between WWE creative and Vince McMahon regarding the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame class.

The names discussed this week that Vince liked the most was Ted DiBiase, King Kong Bundy, Lawrence Taylor and Jake Roberts. DiBiase remains the most consistent name talked about but there is some concern that they might not be able to get Taylor, who wrestled Bam Bam Bigelow at WrestleMania 11. Obviously there is also concern about booking Jake Roberts considering his problems with alcohol and his reputation among people in the business. Roberts blew WWE off a while back for promotional work on his own DVD so saying that he would easily come for a Hall of Fame payoff is stretching it.

Regarding The Ultimate Warrior, he was talked about a week earlier but his name wasn't seriously talked about on the flight to England this past week.

WWE Unhappy With Announce Teams, Possibly Bringing Back Sean Mooney

According to Bryan Alvarez, WWE is said to be very unhappy with the announcers situation and they are currently seeking new ones. It is being rumored that former announcer Sean Mooney (from the late 1980's/early 1990's) could be returning as he was recently sighted at WWE Headquarters in Stamford. This is surprising due to the fact that Mooney has greatly distanced himself from the wrestling industry since he left WWE in 1993.

Alvarez is reporting that there have been tryouts and he also believes that Jim Ross is in a great position right now because of all this.

Interview With Former WWE Head of Security

Former WWE Head Of Security, Jimmy Noonan, was welcomed back to The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network by The Big Mosh, Blade, & "The Chairman Of The Board" Todd Vincent. As many rabid fans of both World Wrestling Entertainment & TNA Wrestling are already aware of, the cost of purchasing Pay-Per-Views will be increasing by a total of $10.00 in 2010. Members of The Mayhem Nation have indeed spoken, and plenty are upset. Will there be some unrest from the wrestling fan, whether they are casual or hardcore in their passion of the product? "Well...let's put it this way guys, I have always thought we did too many Pay-Per-Views. I think the WWE does too many shows, and I think they the beat the crap out of some cities. Back in 2003 or 2004, we were doing Little Rock, AR...huge fan base. And we had done maybe two house shows that year & a TV taping. Then we decided to do a PPV...so within about 15 months, we had done two house shows & a TV, and we were about to do PPV there. Guess what? We did a Pay-Per-View there in front of 3,500 people in a arena that held 14,000. We beat the crap out of so many markets that sometimes it's tough to read. They should do less shows, but it's a money-driven thing."

Among one of the hot topics that was discussed during last week's Third Quarter WWE Conference Call was the fact that Vince McMahon said that the WWE is not just a family business & how anybody within the corporate structure is in on decisions. Todd Vincent said how it is a good tactic to show shareholders that the company is so dependent on his family members & that "the sky isn't falling because a McMahon leaves." Jimmy has his opinion on the matter: "Wouldn't that have been the smart way to address it & then ignore it for the rest of this press conference? All of sudden, everyone has something to say about it. One of the biggest stories in the last eight years, they could have just ignored it, but Stephanie weighed in, Vince weighed in. There's something going on here guys. And I know this is another subject but there is an outside chance...I think it's very curious that a week or ten days after Shane leaves the company, there's the Bischoff/Hogan in TNA. I think the timing is a little curious. Do I think they're related? I'm not sure. Could they possibly be? Absolutely."

With Hulk Hogan's new partnership with Dixie Carter & TNA Wrestling, there are many questions to what his role with the company will be? Jimmy was asked by The Mayhem Crew about what he thinks about this new partnership & whether it's a match made in heaven or a match made in WCW (circa 1999). "In the last few days, didn't Hulk say he taught Vince McMahon the business? I thought Vince Sr. taught Vince Jr. the business, and then Vince took his knowledge & took it to the next level. The thing with Hogan is he is traveling with Eric Bischoff these days. Hogan by himself, there's an outside chance that he could be 'the Anna Nicole Smith of wrestling' right now. Now when he is with Eric Bischoff, he is no longer the Anna Nicole Smith of wrestling, he is not the train wreck everybody wants to watch. Bischoff can move mountains. What this guy touches turns to gold, he's another 'Midas touch' guy. And if he's with Hogan & whispering in his ear, Hogan's gonna be just fine. The problem is when Hogan is not with Bischoff & he goes off on his own, and he makes decisions on his own."

WWE Not Going To Push Eric Escobar?

The word is that WWE has pretty much given up on the push of Eric Escobar as he’s been working more in FCW as of late. Vickie Guerrero was not with Eric Escobar when he lost (with Mike Knox as his partner) to Cryme Tyme in the dark match to the Smackdown tapings for this Friday. WWE may find another role for Vickie Guerrero unless things with Escobar turn around.

Jim Ross On The Ultimate Warrior Getting a WWE HoF Induction

Jim Ross has updated his blog over at JRsBarBQ.com with his thoughts on the Ultimate Warrior's possible Hall of Fame induction:

"I personally feel the former Blade Runner is deserving and just because the guy is considered 'controversial' should not exclude him from any accolade. Warrior's accomplishments and contributions to the business are what counts and hearing Warrior's acceptance speech live and in person would be classic and likely a "Wrestlemania Moment.
