Chuck Palumbo's Poor Performance
Chuck Palumbo is about to be rejuvenated with a properly done heel turn. He needs to do a much better job on the mic than he did on Smackdown last night.

Shifting Gears
First and foremost, we'd like to say that we're huge fans of Chuck Palumbo. We've followed his career since his WCW days. We want to see him succeed and do well in WWE.
Apparently, people in WWE want to see him succeed as well. He's been with the company for the last five years (with a brief stint in between with All Japan Pro Wrestling). That's longer than most wrestlers stick around.
Chuck Palumbo has been given so many gimmicks in WWE. He's been a feminine wrestler, a mechanic, an Italian, and now a biker.
The biker gimmick managed to get him a reaction when he first started doing it. The reaction then slowly died down. In fact, it appeared as the crowd reaction was simply for the revving of the engines on his motorcycle.
Management noticed this and immediately put Michelle McCool by his side. It never hurts to have an extremely attractive blonde to help generate a reaction from the audience.
The reaction began to die down as well, so the seeds of a heel turn were planted. It's working out pretty well because the audience has been reacting pretty strongly to the turn. Chuck Palumbo has to step up his game if he wants this heel turn to work out. He has to bring his A game so he can move up the ladder.

Revving Up
Once Chuck Palumbo makes his full fledge heel turn, then he automatically gains some momentum. That momentum needs to be sustained in order for him to move up into the midcard level.
In order to do that, though, he has to be able to give good interviews. Right now, his interviews have been average. Chuck Palumbo is already a solid in-ring worker. He's not a technician like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, or even Ric Flair. However, he is better than average. He knows what he's doing in the ring.
With some improvements on the mic, Chuck Palumbo should be able to become a challenger for the WWE United States Heavyweight Championship. Matt Hardy is expected to win the title from MVP by Wrestlemania. A heel Chuck Palumbo seems like a great choice to be Matt Hardy's first feud and title defense. A feud between those two should easily be able to elevate Chuck Palumbo even further.
Realistically speaking, Chuck Palumbo doesn't have much of a chance of becoming a main event wrestler on Smackdown. There's far too many people ahead of him on the roster right now. Batista, Edge, Undertaker, and Rey Mysterio stand in his way. Plus, MVP is just waiting for his chance to be elevated into the top of the card.
However, that doesn't mean that Chuck Palumbo can't be a major part of the show. He can help solidify the midcard scene for the next few years.
Closing Thoughts
We're rooting for Chuck Palumbo. He's one of the good guys in the business. He deserves more success than he's currently having. |

Balls Mahoney
For those of you that have been asking, Balls Mahoney is still currently employed by WWE. Management just doesn't have anything for him at the moment. |
|
Boogeyman
Boogeyman is also still currently employed by WWE. He just hasn't been used because the writers don't have a storyline for him to work with. |
Raven
There are now reports that Raven may not necessarily be done with TNA. Of course, it could just be a thing where he gets paid per appearance. |
|
Candice Michelle
There are talks that Candice Michelle could be winning back the WWE Women's Championship from Beth Phoenix at Wrestlemania this year. |
