King Booker Against the King of Kings
Last night on Raw, we discovered who will be the first man to feud with Triple H when he returns from his injury. That man is none other than King Booker. The two will wage battle in a war between Kings.

Triple H's Injury
At New Year's Revolution, Triple H suffered a legit torn right quadriceps in a tag team match. He was teaming up with Shawn Michaels to face Randy Orton and Edge.
It was an injury similar to the one he suffered years ago in a tag team match against Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho.
Once again, Triple has worked hard to rehabilitate his injury and return to the squared circle.
The Challenge
King Booker teased the crowd last night Corpus Christi. When Triple H's theme song played, the audience went nuts. It was an awesome scene when the crowd realized that it was King Booker who was coming out.
A challenge was made by King Booker to Triple H. Since Triple H is known as the King of Kings, King Booker wanted to challenge him for the name.
Since Triple H was unable to be there, King Booker instead focus his attention on Jerry "the King" Lawler. |
Not Again
The internet wrestling community gave a collective groan when they found out that King Booker was chosen as the first man to feud with Triple H upon his return.
King Booker has always been a favorite of the internet wrestling community. His popularity soared even higher after he picked up the king gimmick. Triple H, on the other hand, remains an unpopular guy among the internet wrestling community.
Since Triple H is the one making the return, many fans automatically assume that whoever he faces first will be doing the job. Plus, the internet wrestling community still remembers the big feud Triple H and King Booker had a few years back. They remember that King Booker came out looking pretty badly after that feud.
However, that might not necessarily be the case this time around.
Regardless of what people think about Triple H, it's hard to deny that he really does understand the business. Sometimes, he might abuse the power that he has, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't understand the business.
Right now, King Booker is the top heel on Raw. The WWE cannot afford to make him look weak, especially if they are going to use him in a main event feud with John Cena later.
Triple H is also making his return. A loss to King Booker isn't going to make him look weak. For one, he is returning from an injury. His character has an excuse with the injury.
Losing to King Booker and elevating him would also do wonders for Triple H's popularity on the internet. It'd be easier for Triple H defenders to point this feud out whenever someone criticizes him for their first feud.
Potential To Be Great
The feud between these two has the potential to be great. Both King Booker and Triple H are great on the mic. Plus, the added twist of having King Booker as a heel and Triple H as a face should make things that much more interesting.
Both are also good performers in the ring, so that should not be a worry. They're also versatile enough to stretch out the feud for several months by using various match types.
The feud is high profile enough for the WWE to bust out the Hell in a Cell.
Conclusion
Fans are getting tired of seeing John Cena as champion. They also didn't react too much to Bobby Lashley as the ECW World Heavyweight Champion.
A feud between King Booker and Triple H that stretches out over several months could be what the WWE needs to carry it into the next year. |
