TNA Slammiversary Results
TNA Slammiversary proved to be one of the better pay per views of the year based on the strength of two great matches.
Tomko and Abyss wrestled in a match that didn't have much build behind it. Felt like the match was simply thrown together at the last minute. However, they ended up almost stealing the show.
The match wasn't a technical classic by any means. It was what it was. A hardcore match filled with plenty of spots to keep the crowd entertained throughout.
The King of the Mountain main event carried the entire show. Slammiversary went from being an average pay per view to being a great pay per view because of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship match.
The inclusion of Chris Harris into the pay per view was a pleasant surprise. It's always nice to see new faces in the main event scene. AJ Styles proved once again that he's one of the best workers in the world. Samoa Joe proved once again how innovative he can be. Kurt Angle and Christian Cage showed why they're worth every penny TNA is paying them.
We'll have an in-depth report on Slammiversary later on. |

WWE and Gillette Partner Up
The WWE recently inked a marketing deal with Gillette. John Cena will be used in commercials for Gillette Fusion now. Hopefully, the writers won't go too far with the advertising and have a heel shave Cena with a Gillette razor after visciously attacking him from behind. |

Referees Being Fined
The WWE has recently been pushing for more realism in their matches. They have now started fining referees for inconsistent counts. They also experimented recently with not telling the referees the outcome of mathces, but that didn't work out as planned. |

Wrestlers Upset With Draft
In order to keep the draft from leaking to the internet, the writers kept all of the wrestlers in the dark about the roster switches. Apparently, this upset a few of the wrestlers because the move interferes with their schedule. |

Smackdown Ratings Average
The Smackdown ratings from this week were nearly identical to the Smackdown ratings from last week. This bit of news is disturbing to management because they were expecting more ratings due to the Vince McMahon death storyline. |

NBA Does Not Affect TNA
Many were expecting the ratings for TNA Impact! this week to be lower than usual because of the NBA Finals, but that was not the case. Apparently, interest in the NBA Finals this year was pretty low because of the matchup. |
