Tag Teams Splitting Up
With the draft coming up in a few days, there are rumors of a split between some of the current tag teams.
Ironically enough, on the WWE website, there's comments that would lead you to believe that the team could be split up. Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy are already on different brands.
If the WWE is intent on splitting up the Hardys, then the logical thing would be to send Jeff to ECW and leave Matt on Smackdown.
Jeff's ability to be hardcore could make him a star in ECW despite the fact that the brand is no longer being built around hardcore wrestling. With the loss of RVD an Sabu, ECW will be needing another face that the fans can connect with.
Matt has shown tremendous abilities in the ring in regards to carrying wrestlers to a solid match. Chris Benoit has been elevating MVP in their feud. When that's over, the WWE can throw MVP in a program with Matt, so Matt can continue to elevate MVP. If Matt gets over enough in that program, throw him into a program with Edge over the World Heavyweight Championship.
There have also been talks of giving William Regal a singles push. Splitting him up from Dave Taylor and moving him to Raw would help make that happen.
The rest of the tag teams on the roster appear to be safe as none of the wrestlers involved in a tag team are mentioned for a possible push.
The WWE Draft Lottery always brings this type of excitement. It should be a yearly thing. |
