Brock Lesnar Wins Debut MMA Match
Former WWE champion Brock Lesnar was successful in his MMA debut against Min Soo Kim last night at the Coliseum in Los Angeles.
About 20,000 people were there to witness Lesnar dominating his opponent. After a little over a minute into the fight, Kim tapped out. Lesnar immediately mounted his opponent and began striking. Kim was unable to escape and was forced to tap out.
With this win, Lesnar now has an improved chance of continuing his MMA career. After the match, Lesnar talked about wanting a shot at a heavyweight title. Though it is much too soon to determine how much longer Lesnar's MMA career will last, it does bode well in his favor that his name can still draw an audience.
With the injuries that have affected the WWE as of late, a lot of wrestling fans were hoping that Lesnar would struggle in his first fight and be convinced to make a return to pro wrestling.
Another person that Lesnar's victory affects is TNA star Kurt Angle. Lesnar's win does two things. The first thing is that it adds more fuel to the fire on the unspoken rivalry between Angle and Lesnar, both of whom were former NCAA wrestling champions. The second thing it does is provide Angle with a little more confidence in his own ability to succeed in MMA.
Angle has recently been in discussions with various MMA companies about making his own debut.
