HHH Bashes Younger Talent
In a radio interview earlier this week, Triple H bashed the younger talent on the roster when asked about the current state of wrestling.
While HHH still feels that the product is great overall, he feels that the younger talent walk around with a sense of entitlement. He also states that the younger wrestlers complain when they are left off of Monday Night Raw, but don't work harder to put themselves in a position where management wants them on the main show.
HHH also states that some of the younger talent lack the charisma and personality to make the fans actually want to see them.
HHH, Shawn Michaels, and Ric Flair watch a lot of segments backstage together and provide criticism. The two veterans apparently share the same sentiments as HHH, with Flair going so far as to say that he'll always have a job because the younger guys aren't up to standards.
Most of the internet wrestling community will backlash against HHH because there's an unfairly strong belief that HHH made to his position because of his relationship with Stephanie McMahon. However, there is some truth to what he believes.
Earlier in the year, there was a segment where Flair completely bashes Carlito for not working hard enough. There were rumors that management was punishing Carlito with that segment by mimicking reality.
Guys like Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas are able to wrestle as well as anyone on the roster, but they have yet to develop their personalities to the point where fans demand to see them on Raw. Carlito already has the personality to attract the crowd, but hasn't really improved on his ring work. Chris Masters and Johnny Nitro both already have the support of Vince McMahon because of their size and looks, but have not improved enough with their personality and ringwork.
It'll be interesting to see if any of the younger guys will respond to these accusations. Chances are, they won't because it's basically career suicide.
