Ken Kennedy To Raw?
The WWE Draft Lottery, which has not been used recently for some unknown reason, has made a comeback, and with it, the excitement that comes from all the draft rumors that are stirred up.
Several years ago, the wrestling business would get constant jolts of excitement whenever a wrestler would jump from one federation to another. When Scott Hall and Kevin Nash left the WWE in the mid 90s, that sparked one of the most exciting times in wrestling history.
After the WWE became the only game in town, it was impossible to replicate that type of excitement. Though it pales in comparison to the old days, the WWE Draft Lottery does come closest to providing that type of excitement.
One of the names being tossed around for a brand switch is Ken Kennedy. There are talks about switching Kennedy over to the Raw brand.
That move would be quite foolish.
First of all, despite the fact that Kennedy has already established himself on the Smackdown brand, there are still plenty of fresh feuds for him to participate in.
When Kennedy makes his return from an arm injury, he should be placed into a program with Matt Hardy. As of late, Hardy has been showing everyone that he is more than capable of carrying midcard wrestlers to great matches and elevating them. Feuding with Hardy would do wonders for Kennedy in moving up the ladder. In fact, Hardy can also do the same for MVP as well.
There are also talks about having Kennedy feud with Edge, but no one is quite sure how that is going to turn out since the writers rarely do feuds involving two heels. There's an automatically storyline already in place, though, with Edge stealing the Money in the Bank from Kennedy.
Feuds with Chris Benoit, Batista, and Rey Mysterio are also available for Kennedy on Smackdown to keep him busy before the Undertaker comes back.
Of all the guys that need to be moved, Kennedy is not one of them. |
