Earlier in the year, rumors spread that Kazuchika Okada was a potential candidate to join the developmental program in WWE. During a recent interview with Rolling Stones, he adamantly states that he has absolutely no desire to join the company. He wants to remain loyal to New Japan, where he is set to be the biggest star in the promotion for the next decade. He will also continue to work with ROH.

Earlier in the month, rumors surfaced that WWE was going to put the Intercontinental Championship on Daniel Bryan so that he could headline the live events with it. However, Bryan has much bigger plans than that. He noted that his friend Shinsuke Nakamura managed to headline a New Japan show with their version of the IC belt. The IWGP World Heavyweight worked the under card. Bryan wants to do something similar if he wins the belt.

Since the two of them have worked together many times in the past and are on good terms with one another, there are rumors floating around that the Great Muta and Jeff Jarrett will work out a deal to former a partnership between GFW and Wrestle-1. However, word going around is that the deal is unlikely to even be discussed, as Muta does not want to jeopardize his relationship with TNA. Jarrett also has a working agreement with New Japan.

While an extremely motivated Jeff Jarrett continues to work on getting a television deal for his new promotion, there have been a ton of speculations as to the details of GFW. Rumors surfaced recently that the voice of the promotion will be a very familiar one to longtime wrestling fans. It is being said that Jarrett is hoping to bring together Jim Ross and Mike Tenay as his broadcasting team. He tried teaming them up for New Japan in January.
