Since the company does not want to lose their top star, New Japan has offered Kazuchika Okada a five year deal. That's not normal because the company generally prefers one year contracts. Since Okada has yet to sign the deal, rumors are heating up that he's seriously considering an offer to join Shinsuke Nakamura in WWE. The company wants them because they want to better promote their online video subscription service overseas.

Rumors sprung up recently that Jim Ross was going to be the new commentator for the weekly New Japan show that is aired on AXS TV, which would make sense because the legendary WWE broadcaster has much respect for the overseas promotion. Unfortunately, though, Ross took to social media to deny those reports, stating that the source has jumped the gun because no official deal has been made between the two sides.

When asked about the four New Japan stars heading to WWE, Kevin Owens stated that he was most excited about wrestling against Shinsuke Nakamura. The two of them have wrestled one another once before. Always the heel, Owens made sure to mention that he was better than Nakamura, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. The fact that he addressed the signings adds even more credibility to the rumors.

However, Bryan has much bigger plans than that. He noted that his friend Shinsuke Nakamura managed to headline a New Japan show with their version of the IC belt. The IWGP World Heavyweight worked the under card. Bryan wants to do something similar if he wins the belt.

Rumors surfaced recently that the voice of the promotion will be a very familiar one to longtime wrestling fans. It is being said that Jarrett is hoping to bring together Jim Ross and Mike Tenay as his broadcasting team. He tried teaming them up for New Japan in January.
