Yesterday, it was revealed that a couple of the WWE NXT performers have been booked for upcoming episodes of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. Some further details have now been reported. Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze are only booked for a couple of weeks, while Adrian Neville, who is currently the heavyweight champion in developmental, is scheduled until the end of October.

During a recent interview, Sami Zayn revealed that Antonio Cesaro actually made the request to management to go down to WWE NXT and work there. Zayn explained that the motive behind the move was to let certain people backstage see what he was capable of since it is harder to get the spotlight on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. According to Zayn, Triple H was really impressed with what he saw in Cesaro.

While there are some concerns backstage about going up against the NFL, the move to Thursday for Smackdown is being viewed as a good thing for WWE. Vince McMahon and company been wanting to make the switch for quite some time now, as Friday nights are really difficult to draw because a lot of their targeted demographics is out of the house.

There might be some backstage heat towards Zack Ryder. After working the live events this week for the company, he noted that he was flying back to New York. He also stated that he was not sick, which has led many fans to believe that this involves some sort of disciplinarian issues. WWE usually flies in performers for Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, even if they're not being utilized on television.

After weeks of speculation, it has now been confirmed that WWE will indeed be moving Smackdown from Friday to Thursday. Rumors popped up a couple of weeks ago because a picture of a production truck showed the new day. SyFy has now confirmed the switch. The move puts WWE head to head with the NFL, which is a move that Vince McMahon will be heavily scrutinized for.

There are rumors floating around right now that Zeb Colter is going to be dropped from television and removed as the manager of Jack Swagger. Many are assuming that since WWE kept him off of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. Colter is said to be making a return soon and is only selling the kick from Alexander Rusev. Management still views him as an asset.

Since neither man was involved in a feud, it looks like WWE is about to pair Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus in a feud for the United States Heavyweight Championship. The story between the two might have been initiated during WWE Main Event. Management has been known to drop stories abruptly, so if this does not make it to Monday Night Raw or Smackdown, then the feud is not going forward.

When it was announced that Dean Ambrose was going to be starring in an upcoming WWE Studios movie, the belief was that he was going to need to take some time off to film his part. The duo demolished Curtis Axel and Ryback on Smackdown. The belief is that Show and Henry could be placed into a big tag team match on a pay per view against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

Rumors are floating around right now that WWE has already dropped the new stable of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. Speculations rose even further when Langston worked a singles match on Smackdown, losing decidedly to Alexander Rusev. Kingston has also been working solo while doing live events in Australia these past couple of days.

The feeling backstage in WWE is that no one is safe now that Vince McMahon is desperate to cut the losses. That proved to be the case when the company released Eddie Feldman, who was the Senior Vice President of Creative. Other people in the department were released as well, which means that a lot of the segments on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown are going to become a bit more basic.

After taking a little bit of time off the road and in Europe, Sheamus is now back with WWE. While he was not utilized on Monday Night Raw, he did work a match at the taping for WWE Superstars. The former world heavyweight champion was also kept off of Smackdown as well. Sheamus is currently on the tour of Australia with the rest of the WWE crew and should be back on television soon.

Since Vince McMahon and WWE are desperately trying to reduce the amount of money that they're bleeding, the company is reportedly talking about bringing back the Monday Night Raw and Smackdown super show, where they tape both episodes during the same night. A lot of the performers are against that because it's a lot more work than usual. Some backstage are also against it because the lengthy process can tire out the audience and produce less enthusiastic responses.

When Heath Slater and Titus ONeil teamed up on an episode of Smackdown earlier this month, many fans assumed that WWE had just thrown two guys together for the sake of the match. However, it looks like it could become a permanent thing, as management has gone through the trouble of giving them an official name. Slater and ONeil are now known as Slater Gators.

Those that watched Monday Night Raw this week may have noticed that Sheamus was not in attendance. The former WWE champion will also not be appearing on the next episode of Smackdown, either. That's because the Irish star has been taken off of the road due to a severe flu. The illness is probably quite bad since Sheamus has been known to work through injuries before.

Rumors are floating around that the segment on Monday Night Raw between John Cena and Ric Flair was a subtle way for WWE to retire the world heavyweight championship belt. For those that missed it, Cena handed the belt over to Flair and told the legendary performer to keep it. WWE has not released an official statement on the matter yet, so fans will be tuning in to Smackdown and WWE Battleground 2014 to see the fate of the belt.

Rumors are floating around right now that Adam Rose is expected to replace Santino Marella as the comedy routine on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. However, those reporting on the speculation are failing to remember that Damien Sandow actually owns that role in WWE at the moment. Management is still not sold on Rose, so the chances of him being moved above Sandow isn't very high at the moment.

In order to show support, MVP took his own time and money to travel to Ferguson to be part of the protest. While the TNA star was pleased by the show of solidarity in the community, he did note that there were a few people there who were making the situations worse. MVP was more than likely referring to the looters who were taking advantage of the situation.

MVP is not the only TNA performer who is involved with the Ferguson protests and riots. It has now been revealed that Davey Richards has been working as a paramedic in the area. The tag team champion sent a message to MVP to be careful as Richards has witnessed a lot of the crazy things that have been going on up there. The protests are said to be much more peaceful as of late.

A big protest was started, and TNA star MVP flew into the state to take part in it. He stated that this was a last minute decision because sometimes "shaking your fist at the television is not enough."

Prior to his injury, there were plans in place to have MVP winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Eric Young. Since the company needed a heel champion to be the antagonist against Kurt Angle and his new on screen authority role, the belt went to Bobby Lashley instead. The former TNA champion came back to save Eric Young, who had just lost the world title, from an attack by MVP, Kenny King and Bobby Lashley. Roode received a warm reception from the audience.

Eric Young will still be defending the world heavyweight championship in a steel cage at the event, but he's now going to be doing so against two opponents. Slammiversary 2014 takes place later on this month, and the main event might be in jeopardy. Originally, Eric Young was scheduled to defend the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against MVP, but the challenger suffered some sort of knee injury while working an independent wrestling show in England over the weekend. No word yet on the severity of the injury, but MVP was limping pretty badly.

He received a bit of a pop as he came back to save Eric Young and Bully Ray from an attack by MVP, Kenny King and Bobby Lashley in the final segment of the show. Upon signing with TNA, MVP specifically mentioned Samoa Joe as a performer that he wanted to work against, so that feud could be happening soon.

Promoters there have also booked Al Snow, Shane Helms, Low Ki and Chris Masters as well. Earlier this week, news came out that Kurt Angle had been added as a last minute addition to the live events that TNA is holding this upcoming weekend. Word has now come out that the former world heavyweight champion will be teaming up with MVP to take on Ethan Carter and Brutus Magnus.
